| | Kiss Destroyer CD (1976) Remastered
Memories Live CD music
$7.75 Digitally remastered by Joseph M. Palmaccio at Sterling Sound, New York, New York.
Before DESTROYER, Kiss' studio albums were only moderate sellers. But the band's concerts were selling out regularly, and 1975's ALIVE! album had gone gold, putting Kiss on the pop map. DESTROYER, on which they teamed with Alice Cooper producer Bob Ezrin, was the breakthrough that finally got Kiss' ...
| | Hank Williams Three Hanks: Men With Broken Hearts CD (1996)
Memories Live music CDs
$6.79 MEN WITH BROKEN HEARTS features electronically created collaborations between three generations of the Hank Williams family. Most of the songs are Hank Williams Sr. songs featuring his original vocals, but with new musical tracks and the additional voices of his son and grandson.
Principally recorded at Castle Studio and 16th Avenue Sound, Nashville, Tennessee.
Well, someone had to do it. Three Hanks is exactly that, Hank Williams, Sr., Hank Williams, Jr., and Hank Williams III all together on the same disc, and often on the same track, thanks to the wonders of 21st century digital overdubbing. Produced by Chuck Howard, the dozen songs here, aside from introducing the intriguing talent of Hank III to the world, really don't add much to Hank Sr.'s legacy, or to Hank Jr.'s, either, for that matter. Oh, it's pleasant enough, and even fun sometimes, and Hank Jr.'s "Hand Me Down," which tells the story of a note from Hank Sr. that Hank Jr. found when he was already a grown man, is poignant enough to be a minor classic, but on the whole, Three Hanks feels a bit like a family scrapbook, which is nice to have, but how often does one really look at such ...

| | Hal Russell This Is My House CD (1995)
Memories Live album
$12.89 This Is My House is the NRG Ensemble's second CD with saxophonist Ken Vandermark on board in place of the late Hal Russell, yet oddly it has a more transitional feel to it than the group's previous album, Calling All Mothers. Unlike that record, This Is My House doesn't feature any of Russell's tunes -- Vandermark and fellow reedman Mars Williams take care of seven of the eight pieces, with drummer Steve Hunt accounting for the other. While there are a couple of more "traditional" NRG free bop blowouts (see "Hyperspace" and "Bustanut"), the focus leans toward lengthier, more episodic, and more structured compositions. Vandermark's "Bullseye Witness," which strings together free duo improvisations, lopsided funk rhythms, screaming horn solos, and multiple melodic themes in the space of its ten-plus minutes, is an example of this tendency, though it's not ...

| | Passick/Seiler Vol. 1-Passick Projec-Hobon City Limits CD (2005)
Memories Live CD music
$10.15 Hello and welcome to: The Passick Project Volume 1, Hobon City Limits. What or who is The Passick Project... and where or what is Hobon City? Hang with me awhile and I will explain... First, let me describe my responsibility on this project. It was my charge, self-imposed, to bring this collection together from current/completed masters and those yet to be done. I also contracted with my partner, Mark Passick, to present him with the final collection for possible release. During this period of development, I had the opportunity to co-write three of the tunes presented here (Freedom, Changing and Again); and do the lead vocals on those and Honky Tonkin.' With the collection now complete, you may judge the music of Mark Passick and the contributing artists. Mark's contribution has been massive. He had a major role in nearly all of the studio productions and plays several instruments in many of the tunes. The majority of mixing and track vocals are also his. In fact, Mark and his music were the main impetus for my decision to attempt to produce this collection. Mark is a multi-talented person and can play several instruments. In fact, he even plays a mean "coffee can." I remember one night he was without his guitar, bass or drums so he played a coffee can for quite some time--until his hands were sore. Man, we bongo-rocked that night and had a ball. Now let's talk vocals. He has a smooth, unique sound that can be applied to just about any song and when he is done, he has made it his own. I actually made Mark an offer he could not refuse. The offer was to put his music together, in a top of the line, professional, salable package and present it to him. I did. He accepted and now you have it. Each tune has a life of its own and is unique in its presentation. The Passick Project is Mark's music with a complement of several very talented artists. This, then, describes what the Passick Project is. Now ...
