Following the release of its 1999 debut, POINT #1, Chevelle acquired a more sophisticated sound that can be traced through contributions made to the DAREDEVIL and PUNISHER soundtracks, right up through the metal band's third album, 2004's THIS TYPE OF THINKING (COULD DO US IN). With Peter Chevelle (AKA Loeffler)'s choppy, sinister guitar tones and howling vocals, Chevelle sounds like a distant relative of the Tool/A Perfect Circle family. Throw in the plodding rhythms supplied by his bass-playing brother Joe and their skin-bashing sib Sam, and you have a brooding batch of songs that veers from the moody "The Clincher" and its excellent use of dynamics to the primarily acoustic, but no less compelling, "Bend the Bracket." Not surprisingly, Chevelle has a penchant for writing about some of life's darker subjects, ranging from those struggling to avoid conformity (the relentlessly pounding "Breach Birth") to those who willing embrace it through TV shows like AMERICAN IDOL (a swirling "Get Some"). With THIS TYPE OF THINKING, Chevelle continues to be the standard-bearer of nu metal.

Vena Sera was such a good cd i pretty much listen to that every day. Chevelle has always been a hard rock band and Vena Sera shows it. They are a couple good songs and this cd but just download em and buy Vena Sera

I like this side of Chevelle much better than their previous albums. Hits on this one include "The Clincher", "Vitamin R(leading us along)", "Breach Birth" and "Panic Prone". I don't like their new cd "Vena Sera" they went really dark and heavy metal and screamo. Buy this album!!!

VERY GOOD FOLLOW UP TO WONDER... HIGHLIGHTS ARE VITAMIN R, PANIC PRONE, AND THE CLINCHER. TO BAD ONE GUY LEFT THE BAND.

This band has literally changed the way i think about rock music, and it opened my eyes! I just wish they'd come over to South Africa, cuz every one of my mates agrees with me too. I guess i'll just have to travel to the US...

freaking wicked
i went and seen them in concert and if you do nothing else in life go see chevelle when they played vitamin r i blew me away, but this cd if you aint a fool. Now Saturate!!!!!!

This audio document of The Corrs' Dublin homecoming concert has pretty much everything fans of Irish pop could wish for, including an appearance from Bono in his earthly incarnation, fresh from an audience with President George W. Bush.
