This collection contains three films starring Harrison Ford. The Films include: FRANTIC, THE FUGITIVE, and PRESUMED INNOCENT.
An engaging thriller in the film-noir tradition of Alfred Hitchcock, Roman Polanksi's (REPULSION, ROSEMARY'S BABY) FRANTIC stars Harrison Ford as Richard Walker, an American Doctor attending a conference in Paris. When Walker's wife Sondra (Betty Buckley) mysteriously goes missing from the couple's hotel room, Walker goes to the police, desperate for answers. Offered little help from the cops, Walker embarks on his own investigation, aided by Michelle (Emmanuelle Seigner, Polanski's real-life wife), a carefree, seductive young woman who holds information about the case. Ford, cast somewhat against type, gives a credible, low-key performance as the anxious Walker, whose odd pairing with Michelle forms the dramatic basis for this highly stylized film.
A near-perfect thriller, THE FUGITIVE was adapted from the popular 1960s television series starring David Janssen. When renowned vascular surgeon Dr. Richard Kimble (Harrison Ford) is falsely accused and convicted of murdering his wife, he faces a life behind bars for a crime he didn't commit. But while being transported to prison, another convict stabs an inattentive guard, causing a massive wreck that enables Kimble's escape. As he is hunted by tough U.S. marshal Sam Gerard (Tommy Lee Jones), Kimble must transform himself into a jack-of-all-trades and a man of a thousand faces in a desperate attempt to uncover the truth about his wife's murder and track down the real killer. Spectacular special effects and a pulse-pounding performance by Ford made this film a blockbuster hit, leading to a sequel, U.S. MARSHALS.
PRESUMED INNOCENT is a disturbing murder mystery told in the style director Alan J. Pakula (ALL THE PRESIDENT'S MEN) does best. Harrison Ford plays prosecuting attorney Rusty Sabich, who is deeply shaken by the sudden rape and murder of a colleague and former love interest. Sabich is assigned to the case, which becomes clouded by both personal and political interests that are in conflict. An adaptation of Scott Turow's best-selling novel, the film presents an intense look at the human flaws of ambition, greed and lust.

$7.05 Like the Coen brothers' FARGO, Sam Raimi's A SIMPLE PLAN is an ice-cold neo-noir as chilling and bleak as its snow-covered Minnesota locale. When two brothers, straightlaced family man Hank (Bill Paxton) and simple-minded loser Jacob (Billy Bob Thornton)--along with Jacob's unabashed town-drunk friend Lou (Brent Briscoe)--find 4.4 million dollars inside a crashed plane, they believe they've ...

$10.15 Playing Superman on TV brought aspiring film actor George Reeves stardom, but it also held him back as far as more serious acting roles went. When a 45-year-old Reeves was found dead in his home in 1959, his death was ruled a suicide, and attributed to this B-level frustration. The result of a single bullet wound, Reeves's death caused controversy in and around Hollywood, where popular theories related his death to either his starlet fiancé, Leonore Lemmon (Robin Tunney), or his famously ongoing and unique relationship with Toni Mannix (a fabulous Diane Lane), the wife of mob-connected MGM head Eddie Mannix (Bob Hoskins).
HOLLYWOODLAND explores Reeves's life and tragic end from the perspective of Louis Simo (Adrien Brody), a private investigator hired by Reeves's mother shortly after his death. Cutting back and forth between scenes of Reeves's life ...
