Wu-Tang Clan is one of the most legendary hip-hop groups of all time. Its members have also made their mark both critically and commercially. All original nine members were on stage for the f irst time together in ten years on July 17, 2004 in San Bernadino, CA. The historical event was captured for a live DVD. It includes such Wu highlights as "C.R.E.A.M.", "Triumph", "Protect Ya Neck" and solo joints like "Brooklyn Zoo", "Cherchez La Ghost", and "Incarcerated Scarfaces". Having changed the face of hip hop forever, the Wu-Tang Clan went on to consolidate their position with a variety of solo projects, a clothing line, soundtrack work, acting, and a whole lot more. In 2004 the band reunited for a further group effort, with all the original members back on board. With millions of record sales to their name, and a huge reputation across the globe, the task was never going to be easy. But with RZA at the helm, and formidable MC's such as GZA, Ol' Dirty Bastard, Method Man, and Ghostface Killer on the mic, this was always destined to be another thrilling chapter in the Wu-Tang saga. Fellow disciples Masta Killa, Inspectah Deck, U-God, and Raekwon are also present, completing an awesome line-up for this visual accompaniment to the record. On the intro to his fourth solo record, Ghostface (aka Ghostface Killah, aka Tony Starks) makes pains to pronounce that the Wu-Tang Clan is still intact and working on their next record. However, THE PRETTY TONEY ALBUM may be the least Wu-Tang-flavored outing by any member of the crew. Among the many guest shots, there's not one appearance from a Wu-Tang member, and merely two tracks are produced by resident Wu guru the RZA. PRETTY TONEY does not suffer from this, however, as the record is rife with powerful beats and striking samples.
