It is too bad the rating only goes to 5!
This is a fantastic collection of music bits and dialogue and images of one of the most creative eras for young Americans to come along in a millenia. If you have no knowledge but enjoy rock and roll then this will be a great addition to your dvd library. I also recommend visiting the Jefferson Airplane website

Must Have!
Loved this dvd. Looks great, sounds great, is great. If you were ever a fan, or if you're just curious, you must have this monumental movie, produced by a fan for the fans. Over a dozen full-length performances, taken from tv and film, document the chronologic rise of these guys from local San Fran phenoms to national and international rock n roll stars. Relatively recent interviews with Paul, Grace, Marty, Jack, Jorma, Spencer, and Joey (drummer after Spencer left) sparkle with humor and humanity and drop us back to the joy and magic of the '60's. The 5.1 sound allows us to marvel at the musical quality JA possessed nearly 40 years ago. I can't mumble enuf platitudes about how much I enjoy this dvd. Go ride the music!
