Eventually he wins the support of grizzled former driver Harry Hogge (Robert Duvall), a NASCAR legend who sees that Trickle has the potential to be a great driver. Determined to make it to the top, Trickle develops a healthy rivalry with veteran racer Rowdy Burns (Michael Rooker). Along the way, he romances Dr. Claire Lewicki (Nicole Kidman), a beautiful neurosurgeon. Hogge's mentoring (and a potential tragedy) leads Trickle through the dramatic process of self-discovery, which ultimately makes him a better driver. $9.69 Patrick Swayze stars in this modern-day Western as a tough guy who has poetic instincts and drives a Mercedes. Fresh from earning his doctorate in Eastern Philosophy from New York University, mettlesome loner Dalton (Swayze) finds work as a bouncer at an anarchic road house. Within weeks, Dalton has rid the bar of the ruffians ruining its business and has even struck up a romance with a sexy doctor (Kelly Lynch). Then Dalton bounces the wrong man, who turns out to be one of town crime boss Brad Wesley's henchmen. Wesley first tries to buy Dalton off, but fails. When Wesley learns of Dalton's new lover -- who used to be Wesley's significant other -- Wesley vows bloody vengeance. But Dalton, with his unique mixture of brute force and Zen oneness, isn't about to let his college money go to waste.
Patrick Swayze stars as Dalton, the best bar bouncer in the business, but he's anything but typical. He's a little small for his trade, has a degree in philosophy and espouses "being nice." When he's hired to clean up the Double Deuce, he's pushed to his breaking point. The film also stars Kelly Lynch, Sam Elliott and Ben Gazzara. This Deluxe Edition is chock full of special features including audio commentary with director Rowdy Herrington, "What Would Dalton Do?" featurette, a making-of documentary and a sneak peak at Road House 2.

| | Sarah Silverman Program - Season Two, Volume One DVDs (2008)
Top Gun film
$21.19 With her sexual and not-so-politically-correct brand of comedy, Sarah Silverman and her potty mouth have made their way into her own television series. She plays a parallel-universe version of herself who ends up in a series of ridiculous and uproarious scenarios often involving her own, or someone else's, humiliation. No topic or outlandish idea is out of range for Silverman, who has made a name for herself with her stunning brand of shocking but undeniably honest stand-up routines. This batch of episodes from season two finds Sarah joining the ranks of rabid pro-lifers, being racially insensitive, and getting intimate with her pet pooch. This is raw, cutting-edge comedy at its best, and each episode is another chance for Silverman to push the limits of a television show that might be offensive if it weren't so darn funny.

| | 42 Ways To Kill Hitler DVD (2008)
Top Gun review
$15.59 Adolph Hitler, it seems, wasn't well liked. This documentary from National Geographic examines the numerous historical plots to kill the Fuhrer and why they floundered. The program's panel of experts also discusses how these plans might have succeeded--and how Hitler's assassination might have changed history.
Adolf Hitler is perhaps the most feared and despised man of the 20th century. Not surprisingly, there were over 40 documented attempts on Hitler's life. Assassins ranged from simple craftsmen to high-ranking soldiers in the Fhrer's own military. Aided by cutting-edge CGI, security experts explain why the plots failed; and using modern weapon and explosive experiments, determine what slight change could have made the missions successful. Historians theorize how history would have been altered had just one of the killers eliminated Hitler.
