50 Number Ones album for sale Product Description
50 Number Ones album for sale by George Strait was released Oct 05, 2004 on the MCA Nashville label. From the early 1980s onward, there's been no greater champion of traditional country-music values in the mainstream (and none more successful) than George Strait. 50 Number Ones songs Like a virtual Ramones of country, he's remained unshakeable in his devotion to a straightforward, no-frills aesthetic of which he's become the unquestioned standard-bearer. This populist stance has accordingly resounded with huge numbers of listeners; if you thought it was impressive when Alabama released a hits collection containing 40 Number One country hits, try Strait's 50 NUMBER ONES on for size. 50 Number Ones CD music is a 2-disc set with 51 songs. ...See Full Description

| George the Grait!!! I gotta be honest with you I'm suprised that "Amarillo By Morning" and "Marina Del Rey" weren't number ones, but I guess those were early in his career before he was as well known! IMHO, those two cuts are much better than some of his latter day number ones; albeit it's all good! Well that said and apart from that this is an excellent cd! I don't worry so much about George's songs being edited a bit because his songs are usually so short anyway that it would hardly be noticeable to the casual country fan such as myself. | Best CD Ever! George Rocks... or Country Rocks! Anyway, who cares if they cut a couple secons out... would you rather have not all those songs on there (Cause they're all great!:D). By Colt (Canada) |
| There's No one better! I love this CD. It has all my favorite songs on it, and it's easier to listen to in my truck without having to change cds all the time. By Whitney (OK, USA) |
| THATS WHY GEORGE IS THE "KING" !!! REALLY GREAT CD'S. OK, SOME SONGS ARE CUT, BUT WE GET ALL THE BEST IN 2 CD'S. HE IS THE KING OF COUNTRY AND HIS MUSIC MADE HIM THAT. By DONNA (MADISON, MAINE) |

Garth Brooks Ultimate Hits CDs (2007) Top Seller
50 Number Ones buy CD music For a period in the early 1990s, Garth Brooks was not only the biggest star in country music, he was one of the biggest stars in music, period. An unassuming Oklahoman who fused the blue-collar ethic of new traditionalist country with an unapologetic pop side that drew on his love of 1970s rockers like Kiss and Billy Joel, Garth Brooks fundamentally changed the sound of mainstream country music in much the same way that Hank Williams had in the 1940s and Patsy Cline had in the 1950s. THE ULTIMATE HITS, a three-disc collection that is the first comprehensive career overview for Brooks, contains all of his most beloved songs in remastered sound, plus four brand-new songs and a bonus DVD containing all of Brooks's music videos.

Shania Twain Greatest Hits CD (2004) Top Seller
50 Number Ones album for sale With the help of her husband, "Mutt" Lange, a legendary producer who helmed mammoth hits by AC/DC and Def Leppard, Canadian songstress Shania Twain developed a highly commercial style of country-tinged pop music that helped her become one of the biggest stars in America. Though GREATEST HITS doesn't include the two major singles from her 1993 self-titled debut, Twain has released so many hits that the 21-track disc is still overflowing with familiar chart-busters. Listening to these ubiquitous songs all in one stretch will leave listeners awed at the breadth of Twain and Lange's incredible talent for catchy pop ditties that sound cutting-edge while still retaining that ever-important hint of Nashville twang. In fact, though laced with the usual fiddles and steel guitars, many songs end up recalling ABBA and the Cars as much as anything south of the Mason-Dixon Line. Of course, the main attraction is always Twain's smoothly sensual voice, which has won over millions of fans worldwide.

Alan Jackson Greatest Hits, Vol. 2 CD (2003) Top Seller
50 Number Ones CD music Initial pressings of GREATEST HITS VOLUME 2 included a bonus CD.
"It's Five O'Clock Somewhere" won the 2004 Grammy Award for Best Country Song. The song was also nominated for Best Country Collaboration With Vocals.
Anyone who earns a second volume of GREATEST HITS has obviously learned a thing or two about staying power and consistency of artistic vision. Such is the case with Alan Jackson, who appeared in the 1990s as mainstream country's alternative to the dominance of King Garth. His sound was still eminently accessible, but the faux-Springsteen drama of Kiss fan Garth's rock manque was eschewed for a more roots-oriented (though hardly traditionalist) sound. Things kick off nicely with the Cajun-flavored smash "Little Bitty," then giving way to the introspective, fiddle-laced country ballad "Everything I Love." Along the way, there's the pleasantly chugging, upbeat "It Must Be Love," the much-publicized post-9/11 song "Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning)," thankfully absent of Toby Keith's contemporaneous jingoistic rancor, and the Jimmy Buffett-assisted party anthem "It's Five O' Clock Somewhere." Add a couple of unreleased tracks and a bonus disc of more obscure material, and you've got as good an introduction to Jackson's work as his first GREATEST HITS COLLECTION.
Additional Tracks
Recorded at Emerald Entertainment's Tracking Room, The Sound Station, East Iris, Nashville, Tennessee; Shrimpboat Sound, Key West, Florida; McClear Digital, Toronto, Canada.
Personnel: Alan Jackson (vocals, guitar); Jimmy Buffett (vocals); Bruce Watkins, Greenwood Hart (acoustic guitar); Brent Mason (electric guitar); Paul Franklin, Lloyd Green (steel guitar); Stuart Duncan (mandolin, fiddle); Hargus "Pig" Robbins (piano); Glenn Worf (electric bass); Eddie Bayers (drums); Eric Darken (percussion); John Wesley Ryles (background vocals).

Toby Keith Greatest Hits, Vol. 2 CD (2004)
50 Number Ones buy CD music All tracks have been digitally mastered using HDCD technology.
Although Toby Keith was a regular resident of the Billboard country charts for nearly 10 years before the release of 2002's UNLEASHED, it was that album and its attendant pro-Iraq War anthem, "Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue (The Angry American)," that catapulted him to genuine superstar status. The Oklahoma-born singer is often criticized for his politically conservative beliefs, but one listen to GREATEST HITS 2 will make it hard for any listener to resist Keith's warm, commanding baritone, dance-floor-ready neo-traditionalist rhythms, and sharp songwriting.
Though it doesn't present anything from Keith's massively popular 2003 record SHOCK'N Y'ALL, the disc does collect many of the best moments from UNLEASHED, PULL MY CHAIN, and HOW DO YOU LIKE ME NOW. The compilation also adds several newly recorded songs and features high-spirited live versions of early hits "Should've Been a Cowboy," and "You Ain't Much Fun." Other highlights include "Beer for My Horses," a staunchly right-wing Willie Nelson duet, and "Stays in Mexico," a freewheeling examination of marital infidelities. A representative overview of an important period in Keith's career, GREATEST HITS 2 is a perfect introduction to a talented and deceptively complex artist.

22 More Hits CD (2007) Top Seller
50 Number Ones songs Although the title implies that 22 MORE HITS is a sequel to a previous George Strait best-of anthology--of which there have been more than a dozen since 1986's GREATEST HITS--it in fact merely compiles a cross-section of some of the Texan country superstar's most beloved songs from the first quarter-century of his career. Many of Strait's best-known songs are absent, but with fan favorites such as "Amarillo By Morning," "Gone As A Girl Can Get," and "Don't Make Me Come Over There and Love You" among its choices, this is as good a single-disc George Strait anthology as any that's been gathered.
