George the Grait!!!
50 Number Ones CD music I gotta be honest with you I'm suprised that "Amarillo By Morning" and "Marina Del Rey" weren't number ones, but I guess those were early in his career before he was as well known! IMHO, those two cuts are much better than some of his latter day number ones; albeit it's all good! Well that said and apart from that this is an excellent cd! I don't worry so much about George's songs being edited a bit because his songs are usually so short anyway that it would hardly be noticeable to the casual country fan such as myself. I think he's probably the Elton John of Country! Probably the greatest male vocalist the Country genre has ever produced. Ironically his vocal quality is nothing spectacular, but the simplicity of his songs coupled with spectacular lyrics, arrangements and musicianship just put him over the top time and time again! Plus his songs have staying power! Cuts twenty years old sound as good, and better, today as they did then.

Best CD Ever!
George Rocks... or Country Rocks! Anyway, who cares if they cut a couple secons out... would you rather have not all those songs on there (Cause they're all great!:D). or would you have about 46 hits. You need to put all of them on!... This is the best CD ever!... FYI MCA was right to do that.

Best of the best
George Strait is one of best country singers out there. This cd is amazing because it has all his number 1's. I would highly recommend getting this cd!

There's No one better!
I love this CD. It has all my favorite songs on it, and it's easier to listen to in my truck without having to change cds all the time. The only two songs missing from it are Amarillo by Mornin' and The Cowboy Rides Away.

THATS WHY GEORGE IS THE "KING" !!!
REALLY GREAT CD'S. OK, SOME SONGS ARE CUT, BUT WE GET ALL THE BEST IN 2 CD'S. HE IS THE KING OF COUNTRY AND HIS MUSIC MADE HIM THAT. AND JUST FOR THE RECORD, HIS BEST SONG EVER HAS TO BE, "THE CHAIR", I PLAY IT OVER AND OVER, GREAT SONG.
