Ever since Gaelle Adisson broke through in the late 1990s with her popular dance hit "King of My Castle," the lush-voiced singer has collaborated with artists as varied as Naked Music's Lisa Shaw, neo-soul hero Cee-Lo, R&B master Jagged Edge and hip-hop star Esthero. In conjunction with production partner Eric Stamile and Naked Music, Gaelle is now coming out with Transient, a richly textured debut album that displays a stunning spectrum of musical styles-from the radio-friendly dance anthem "Give it Back" to the darkly complex title track.

Gaelle's Performance is great
Gaelle has got to be the most talented and most sexy women singing for naked music. All of her music tracks makes you feel transient. I love the sounf of gaelle's voice.

I remember a cool guy i met at a party, asked what kind of music i liked. i told him world music, bit of house, dance and soul singing. He immediately gave me a copy of gaelle's cd. I was pleasantly suprised to find an album that combined all of my favourite musical elements. Since then i have been trying to track down an original copy of the album for my collection. she will sit amongst my greats. Jill Scott, Amel Leroux, Cesaria Evora and Cafe del Mar Vol6,7. She is breath taking!

The late and very great Johnny Cunningham may no longer be a part of Celtic Fiddle Festival, but his spirit hovers directly over this album, recorded live in the U.S. At least for this disc, he's been replaced by La Bottine Souriante's André Brunet, who fits in easily with the lineup. As ever, the CD is an eclectic mix of tunes, beautifully and boldly played, with Brunet injecting a strong dose of the Quebecois into the Irish and Breton music, which roves far afield this time around. Ged Foley does a wonderful solo guitar job on a set of tunes that let him out of his supporting role for a few minutes. But it's the fiddles that are, quite rightly, the stars of the show, with Kevin Burke and Christian Lemaitre bringing experience to the party. Every track is a delight, and Cunningham is remembered specifically on his "Leaving Brittany." There's the inevitable nod to O'Carolan, but mostly the players dig below the surface for the material and present it in glittering, joyful fashion. More than an excellent live album or a remembrance, it's quite simply a great album, period. ~ Chris Nickson
After the death of founding member Johnny Cunningham, the future of this ensemble seemed uncertain. However, newcomer Andre Brunet adds his own unique flair to the fiddle trio's sound. The subtitle, PLAY ON, refers to the group's setbacks. But play on they do. Without a doubt, each piece on CELTIC FIDDLE FESTIVAL is inspired and well wrought. Made up of reel and jig medleys plus contemplative airs, this music breathes with all the heart and soul of ole Eire.
"Arthur Darley's Swedish Jig: Stan Chapman's Jig / Medley" is a superb example of this group in action. A celebratory jig, the fiddles play in perfect harmony.
