3 stars Not the best the band could offer.
I really love Wolf Eyes and I'd suggest this album only to those people who already own Burned Mind, Dead Hills, Dread, Slicer, and the self-titled one already. The album consists of two songs sprawled out over about 50 minutes. Both the songs sound like cheaply recorded improv sessions that lack the sort of drive and creativity as their other releases do. It's also not as punishing a release as say, Burned Mind, but more like the minimalism seen on Slicer, albeit with cheaply recorded technology and even less structure. There are better Wolf Eyes albums, and with a band as rediculously prolific as Wolf Eyes I'd recommend buying some of the definitive albums first.
