| | Aragon Project CD (2008)
Columbia Singles, Vol. 1: 1950-1951 songs
$15.19 WHO & WHEREAragon is a band that is based out of League City, TX, just south of Houston. Frank Aragon is the band leader, Matthew Aragon plays drums, and Cliff Torberson plays the bass. They\'ve been playing together for the past 2 years in churches in the Houston and Beaumont area. ABOUTOf course the three of them have their own musical taste, but they manage to put together a nice Texas style rock sound, with a \"bluesy\" edge. Frank and Matthew have been playing together for 12 years now, and Cliff was the perfect fit with his funk-style and swing bass playing. You\'ll find them working at NASA during the day, and Frank serving at Anchor Baptist Church in Kemah, TX. But anytime there\'s an available stage, they don\'t mind humpin\' all their gear somewhere, and playing their hearts out. Smaller churches around the Beaumont and Houston area love to have these guys come come out and draw a crowd.MISSIONEvery musician wants their audience to feel their music. To hear the communication of instruments and lyrics, and these guys are like everyone else. However, there\'s another not so subtle message to their music. It\'s a message of hope. But not just any hope. Not just, \"c\'mon, you can make it....everything\'s gonna be ok....just keep your head up....but instead, incorruptible hope! The kinda hope that comes when an unknown circumstance, becomes known. In any given show, you\'ll hear this truth explained. The message they share is from the Bible. The Bible says that none are good, and all of us are wicked to the core. You\'ll hear them say something like, \"Within a hundred years, none of us will be here, so what really matters?\" Because we\'ve broken God\'s eternal moral laws (the 10 commandments), we should be punished in hell, no matter how difficult of a life we\'ve had. But God is kind, and rich in mercy. God paid the price for our transgressions by dieing on a cross, and redemption comes through repentance and faith in Jesus, who rose victorious from the grave. Get this, sometimes, they\'ve been seen preaching this message on street corners. They live what they believe.WHAT THEY DO....Aragon is willing to play at parties, churches, concerts, or lead in worship. Frank has ...
