$10.65 Original score by Miles Goodman. All songs written by Paul Williams.
The Muppet Christmas Carol movie and soundtrack will inevitably draw comparison to previous Muppet efforts, considering this is the first film since Jim Henson's death. Luckily Paul Williams, the songwriter of The Muppet Movie, is on hand to provide some sense of attachment and familiarity. And of course, the rest of the Muppet gang are around too. Williams' score is not as striking as his work with The Muppet Movie, but he has crafted an extensive package of Christmas cheer with 11 new songs and a charming score. Two of the songs, "Room in Your Heart" and "Chairman of the Board," did not appear in the actual film, so they really serve as bonus tracks. The song "Marley and Marley," sung by living dead versions of the heckling Waldorf and Statler, is humorous, eerie, and poignant, reminding the still living that "Freedom comes from giving love as prison comes with hate." "Bless Us All," sung by Tiny Tim and his family, is a tender prayer that really captures the spirit of Christmas quite perfectly, ...

$18.39 hey peeples!so, here at last is my BRAND NEW RECORD! any comparsions to such politically awakened and powerfully eloquent artists like Ani DiFranco and Joni Mitchell are undeservedly (perhaps even absurdly) flattering to me, but I would like to express my humble thanks to these artists in particular (along with Bob Mould, Frank Zappa, REM, The MInutemen and a few others) for they have inspired me to finally come out of my romantic myopia and begin expressing my political feelings about the the world at large. I suppose I should also thank Michael Moore and Harry Shearer...although I can't help continuing to write the love/spiritual stuff, this album marks the beginning of a more politically outspoken phase that has given me a whole new level of inspiration. Even though this is only directly evident on a few of these songs, you'll see where I'm headed, and I hope you can dig it and go there with me...love and peacedanielPS bio to follow...DANIEL MACKENZIEDaniel Mackenzie is a Los Angeles - based singer/songwriter who hails originally from New York, NY. After obtaining a bachelor's degree in music from Brown University, Mackenzie moved to LA in the mid nineties for "sunshine and cheaper rent".Performing regularly in such esteemed LA venues as Largo, The Troubadour, Viper Room, Temple Bar and (his current haunt) The Mint gradually garnered Mackenzie a strong local following. In 2000, he struck a production deal with indie label fBoo Records and in June of that year released his debut album "Shakytown".KCRW "Weekend Becomes Eclectic" DJ Anne Litt soon took note of Shakytown and began featuring certain cuts on her popular radio program. A few of the album's tracks have been featured in such notable TV series as SHO's "The Chris Isaak Show", FOX's "Higher Ground" and WB's "Glory Days" and "Popular", as well as a slew of independent films. Although he has done a bit of TV and film acting, Mackenzie has derived most of his freelancer's income creating music for documentaries and independent films. He is currently the composer for Discovery Channel's brand new show MONSTER HOUSE, whose catchy theme song he also wrote, produced and performed. Seriously perturbed by international events of the past few years, ...
