Aero is a double CD format, a DVD (ntsc/Region 0) and CD in one package. The DVD is recorded in 5.1 DTS, Dolby AC3 and PCM 9624 KHz Stereo and the CD is recorded in Super Stereo. There is an optional visual element on the DVD format, which offers an unusual visual experience. A pair of beautiful eyes, shot in high-definition cinemascope, gazing out at the listener and reacting emotionally to the music...for the entire 75 minutes of the album. WEA. 2004.

| Aero Music Review Average Rating: (5 out of 5 stars) Why JMJ doesn't have an American label is beyond me!!! This is a great album! Jean Michel mixes some old classics with new material to make an amazingly good CD. As with all of JMJ's releases you have to get them import, why no one here will release his material is a crime. This release comes with a DVD that is PAL, just a word of warning. Submitted by b.e.dawson (Denver, CO, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Surround sound head trip. Full marks to Jean Michel for reworking some of his best compositions, with a view to producing a musical mind trip, designed with surround in mind. It is fascinating on a good surround system, but works well in a multi-speaker car set-up as well. It goes without saying perhaps, that headphones also produce maximum delights. Track it down now.Get out on the open road on a dark night and drop the windows, and crank it up for a truly guilty pleasure. Submitted by David Martin (Mt. Martha, Australia.) Startling! The DVD (at least the European version) has a DTS track which simply justifies having multichannel audio setup. It is just breathtaking – I was mesmerized !

Aero album
$8.99 Still chugging along three decades after members of Houston garage bands the Moving Sidewalks and the American Blues united in 1970, this little ol' band from Texas makes its mark on 2003 with MESCALERO, the trio's first album in four years. As one of the first blues-rock power trios to fuse synthesizers with their straightforward brand of boogie, ZZ Top continues down this same path throughout these 16 songs. The difference is the Tex-Mex border brushed-on flavor, be it the bilingual title cut, the techno-mariachi that is the Spanish-sung "Que Lastima," or the Dia de Los Muertos-inspired cover art. Also present and accounted for is the group's salacious sense of humor, which is readily apparent in the straightforward shuffle "Buck Nekkid" and equally rocked-out "Piece." Longtime fans of Memphis soul best known for their cover of Sam & Dave's "I Thank You," ZZ Top returns to the Stax/Volt canon for a crack at Lowell Fulsom's "Tramp," which is given a quirky reading thanks to the use of a filter on the vocals. Also tacked onto the last track is an uncredited cover of "As Time Goes By," sung by a gravelly sounding Billy Gibbons over slack-key-inspired ...
| | Kraftwerk Tour De France Soundtracks CD (2003)
Aero CD music
$13.65 It is a testament to Kraftwerk's brilliance that some 30 years after pioneering the electronica revolution they were able to keep pace with the legions of acts they inspired. 2003's TOUR DE FRANCE SOUNDTRACK is as crisp, modern, and appealing as any minimal techno turned out in the 2000s, and is all the more impressive for its direct link to the band's legacy from the 1970s. Like the music on their landmark releases AUTOBAHN and TRANS-EUROPE EXPRESS, the meticulously calibrated synth-scapes of TOUR DE FRANCE SOUNDTRACKS conjure visions of machines churning in mechanized perfection and sensations of robotic ecstasy.
The cerebral yet infectious beats that characterize the three versions of the single and tracks like "Chrono" and "Titanium" are ambitious and compelling, full of clicking polyrhythms and edgy, icy funk. As usual, these are layered with electronic micro-melodies and ...
| | Jean-Michel Jarre Oxygene 7-13 CD (1997) (Import) Reissue; France
Aero music CDs
$9.95 Oxygène 7-13 continues where Jean-Michel Jarre left off 20 years before, that is, with the last track ("Part 6") of 1977's Oxygène. Much had changed in the interim, for both Jarre and synthesizer technology. The result is a set of up-tempo, highly melodic electronic trance reminiscent of Steve Hillage's ...

| | Mike Oldfield Music Of The Spheres CD (2008)
Aero CD music
$10.69 The legendary British composer will always be most identified with his breakthrough long-play composition "Tubular Bells" and the way it was used to illuminate fear in The Exorcist. The happy truth is that since then he's amassed an incredible catalog of over 20 albums featuring just about every instrumental form but jazz: pop, classical, new age, world music, computer game, film soundtrack, etc. The title of his 2008 45-minute classical-influenced opus Music of the Spheres is a reference to the prolific and eclectic composer's feeling that all music should aim to represent the spiritual or otherworldly elements of life -- something beyond the mundane and everyday. He accomplishes that via the sheer hypnotic beauty of the gentler passages and the percussive drama of others, both of which characterize the multi-movement opening track, "Harbinger," which lives up to its title as a preview of the overwhelming, ethereal joys to come. Mike Oldfield is a highly accomplished film composer and it would be easy to imagine gorgeous, sweeping pieces like "Animus" and "Silhouette" behind pastoral romantic scenes, and action-packed, percussively dense expressions like "The Tempest" building some heavy suspense for some nail-biting plot. Completely recorded ...

| | Jake E Lee Retraced CD (2005)
Aero songs
$13.45 When most fans recall Jake E. Lee's playing, it is his stellar, heavy metal-esque style featured on such mid-'80s Ozzy classics as Bark at the Moon and The Ultimate Sin. But aside from hardcore fans, Lee is a bluesy, classic rocker at heart, as evidenced by his work with his post-Ozzy band, Badlands, and especially on his latest solo album, Retraced. Comprised entirely of covers, Lee doesn't go the usual Stones/Zeppelin route, but instead, picks lesser-known songs from his days as a teen playing in bands -- including selections from such outfits as Robin Trower, Johnny Winter, and Trapeze, among others. Reading Lee's notes in the CD booklet, it's surprising to learn that he hadn't picked up his instrument for a year before Shrapnel head Mike Varney convinced him to do the project. The deciding factor for Lee was the rhythm section -- Vanilla Fudge's Tim Bogert on bass and session ace Aynsley Dunbar on drums -- who supports Lee throughout. Ex-Michael Schenker singer Chris Logan handles vocals, and as evidenced by such cuts as "Evil" and "Guess I'll Go Away," Logan gets quite David Coverdale-esque at times. Despite the long fretboard layoff, Lee can still wail away with the best of them, especially on "Way Back to the Bone." For fans of modern-day ...
