A Madrid waitress, Lucia (Paz Vega), is mourning the loss of her boyfriend Lorenzo (Tristan Ulloa), who passed away mysteriously. Excellent Movie
Sex and Lucia is an excellent movie that is a "must" for all movie Lovers.
That female lead actress (PV) is an serious bombshell. The movie has a good story line and it is "warmly" put together in order to achieve a more mature and polish movie. The only negative is that the sex scene are'nt that explicit which is sad considering what a sexy Body Lucia has. Good Buy!!!!!!!!!!

If you fell in love with Paz Vega in "Spanglish", wait till you see her in this sexually charged movie. This movie shows how much more sophisticated European cinema is in terms of addressing sexuality. Over here in the US, mainstream movies are this sexually explicit and sex is exiled to late night cable tv movies.
Bu here one can see how a mainstream movie can deal with sex in an intelligent, adult way.
Anyway...this a really cool film to watch. And yes, Paz is nude throughout.

skillfully hypnotic and wonderfully paced
Perhaps some would describe Julio Medem's films as an acquired taste, but I believe he creates cinematic art accessible, and more importantly, enjoyable for anyone. The rhythms, the building tension, and inter-connectedness of the characters paints a intriguing and complex portrait of human existence. Be drawn into a very specific and different world; yet one that is very identifiable. Thus making the films so resonant.

A man wakes in mid-afternoon in a grungy London apartment. A woman knocks at the door. He lets her in, to an awkward silence. She touches his face tenderly--almost immediately they have stripped and are making love on a mattress on the floor. It is the first of many intense, real-time, sexually explicit encounters between Jay (Mark Rylance) and Claire (Kerry Fox). And director Patrice Chéreau reinforces the intensity by keeping his wide-screen camera very close to the actors.
Jay and Claire agree to separate their meetings from the rest of their lives. But after one encounter, Jay follows Claire. He discovers that she acts in a basement theater, and is married to a taxi driver, Andy (Timothy Spall). Following her again, Jay loses her. From his current post in Antarctica, British glaciologist Matt (Kieran O'Brien), recalls how he met Lisa (Margo Stilley), a 21-year-old American student. They were at a rock concert at London's Brixton Academy, and he took her back to his apartment for sex.
