Nathaniel Merriweather (AKA Dan the Automator) and Chest Rockwell (AKA Prince Paul) present the second installment in their ongoing saga. As with the duo's debut, SO... HOW'S YOUR GIRL?, it's a comedic love den for the experimental breeding of hip-hop with whatever strikes their mood, be it rock, reggae, nu-metal, jazz, electronica, or dub.
This time the amazingly eclectic guest list includes TV's Father Guido Sarducci, Cat Power, Jack Johnson, members of Linkin Park, Hall & Oates, and Franz Ferdinand, among many others. Surreal advice on dating hygiene alternates with genuine make-out-session-worthy funk (the Prince-esque "Greatest Mistake") and soul (the Otis Redding-esque "Breakdown"). Julee Cruise purrs about tax breaks on "Class System"(with Pharrell Williams), while "Rock and Roll (Could Never Hip Hop Like This) Part 2" morphs into straight-up AOR rock that may have hip-hop purists thinking they put on the wrong disc. Of course, there are still solid beats and rhymes from Del tha Funkee Homosapien, De La Soul, and others. Throughout WHITE PEOPLE, Merriweather and Rockwell make sure that both their cohorts and their listeners are having a good time.

Handsome Boy Modeling School White People Songs White People Music Review Average Rating: (4.7 out of 5 stars) Genious One of hip hop's finest and innovative groups. They've been underground so not many people have heard of them, however they have a few big names guest star in a few tracks. Chester Bennington and Mike Shinoda (from Linkin Park) offer their distinctive vocals and song writing capabilities in "Rock & Roll part 2" (amazing track). Chino Moreno from the Deftones (my favorite band)plays guitars and uses his eerie vocals on the track "Hours" which also includes about 32 bars by El-P and Cage . Tim meadows is hilarious on this also. This album is gonna be in my rotation for a long time! Submitted by player7351 (South Texas) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

White People album
$13.89 Handsome Boy Modeling School is the tag for the unearthly union of producer Prince Paul and beatmaster Dan "The Automator" Nakamura, the forces behind two of the most universally acclaimed hip-hop records. While each man has recorded worthy solo records, each is better known for his individual connections to the clasics 3 FEET HIGH & RISING, by De La Soul and OCTAGONYCOLOGIST, by Dr. Octagon.
When one ponders the referential nature of those albums and ...

White People songs
$18.79 The sheer toughness -- and overall derivative -- nature of Killing Floor's debut album, issued six months after Led Zeppelin's debut in 1969 on the Spark label, is a wondrous contrast to the overly slick treatment American blues were given by British artists. All of these tunes, with the exception of one, are revamped versions of songs from the blues canon with different words. The lone "cover" in the set was written by Willie Dixon titled "Woman You Need Love," the tune Zep ripped for "Whole Lotta Love." ...
| | Danny Kirwan Second Chapter CD (1975) With Book; Limited Edition; Digipak
White People album
$19.79 The first solo album from Fleetwood Mac singer/songwriter Daniel David Kirwan has the future producer for Human League and Buzzcocks, Martin Rushent, utilizing those skills here, as well as engineering. The sound is crystal clear, and a feather in the cap for Rushent as well as Kirwan. It starts off with an uncharacteristic "Ram Jam City," which has more Lindsey Buckingham sounds than one would expect, especially since the two guitarists come from two different musical worlds. "Odds and Ends" is more lighthearted, the kind of music Paul McCartney toyed with on The White Album's "Rocky Raccoon." What Second Chapter ...

White People CD music
$18.75 In some circles, Mickey Jupp is something of a minor legend, a roots rocker with excellent taste and a cutting wit, best heard on the songs "Switchboard Susan" and "You'll Never Get Me Up in One of Those," both covered by Nick Lowe. Basher's endorsement is a clear indication that Jupp is a pub rocker, a guy who specializes in laid-back good times, so it shouldn't come as a great surprise that his first band, Legend, was proto-pub, ...
