Standard Screen; Soundtrack English; Sensor Matic In this atmospheric adaptation of Charles Dickens' classic, "A Christmas Carol," Ebenezer Scrooge learns the true meaning of Christmas when the Ghosts of Christmases Past, Present and Future convince him to reform his miserly ways. Filmed in Shrewsbury, England, this version of Dickens' beloved classic is considered by many to be the best. All the performances are excellent, but George C. Scott makes the often-played Ebenezer Scrooge his very own. Highly recommended. Filmed on location in Shrewsbury, England.
Aired originally on the CBS Television Network December 17, 1984.

$31.29 The ultimate guilty pleasure, AMERICA'S TOP MODEL contains all the makings of great television: catty drama, nude photo shoots, backstabbing, and skinny girls with attitude. In the season that started it all, 20 girls are chosen out of thousands of eager applicants to compete for the ultimate prize: a contract with Wilhelmina Models, a spread in Marie Claire Magazine, and a contract with Revlon. The finalists are flown to LA, where they must strut their stuff for a panel of celebrity judges composed of Janet Dickenson (who describes herself as "the world's first supermodel"); Beau Quillan (fashion director of Marie Claire Magazine); Kimora Lee Simmons (self-proclaimed "Shopaholic," and CEO of the Baby Phat clothing line); and of course, Ms. Banks herself. Ten out of the 20 girls are then chosen to fly to New York, where they will live together in a supremely girly penthouse in midtown Manhattan.
Created and hosted by supermodel-actress-recording artist Tyra Banks, the show also features regular appearances by entertaining characters like Jay Manuel, and J. Alexander, who dresses in drag to teach the girls the art of walking on the runway. Each week, the girls receive "Tyra Mail" containing clues to their next photo shoot. In these shoots, the girls must prove that they deserve the title of America's Next Top Model, even if it means posing with potentially deadly Cobras or modeling bikinis in the dead of winter atop a Manhattan high-rise. After each photo shoot, the celebrity ...

$21.29 Five films from the height of the great actor's career are collected in the GARY COOPER COLLECTION.
DESIGN FOR LIVING: Comedic master Ernst Lubitsch directs Cooper, Frederic March, and Miriam Hopkins in this surprisingly racy romantic comedy. Hopkins finds herself in love with both men, so she decides to move into their apartment with them. The two men vow that neither will attempt to seduce her, but how long can they stay true to their pledge? This film was produced in the "Pre-Code" era of Hollywood, before the industry restricted its content, and as a result is full of double entendres and sexual innuendo.
PETER IBBETSON: This romantic period drama was acclaimed by surrealists when it was released in 1935. Cooper stars in the titular role, an architect who travels to meet with the Duke of Towers and receive a commission from him. He discovers that the Duchess (Ann Harding) is a childhood sweetheart, and as Ibbetson undertakes his project, he and the Duchess renew their love affair. But because of her marriage and position the romance seems doomed for tragedy.
THE GENERAL DIED AT DAWN: Gary Cooper stars as O'Hara, an American soldier of fortune carrying gold across China to finance the purchase of weapons which will fuel a popular uprising against vicious warlord, General Yang (Akim Tamiroff). However he hadn't planned on falling in love with the daughter (Madeleine Carroll), of one of Yang's agents.
BEAU GESTE: The theft of an enormous gem, the Blue Water, sends the three notoriously adventuresome Geste brothers into the French Foreign Legion. Gary Cooper, Ray Milland, and Robert Preston boldly play the three loyal siblings who have taken the rap to save the female culprit. Assigned to a desert command, they suffer cruelties under the heavy hand of Sergeant Markoff (Brian Donlevy) and then come upon a mysterious tragedy at their fort. Produced in a giant sweep with hard-edged realism by director William Wellman, this version of BEAU GESTE ...
