Closed Captioned; Standard Screen; Soundtrack English; Dolby Digital 5.1 Re; Import Most Slayer fans still hold up their album REIGN IN BLOOD as the band's true masterpiece. So when it came to recording a visual document of the band--entitled STILL REIGNING--the band turned to their 1986 record for inspiration. With the original line up intact, the band takes to a stage decorated in exactly the same style as their 1980s tour, and work their way through the album. The punishing intensity of their playing hasn't let up over the years, and the group members clearly delight in playing some classic material. With the REIGN IN BLOOD album performed in its entirety, tracks such as "Angel of Death," "Criminally Insane," and "Jesus Saves" come to life once again. As an added bonus, Slayer also performs a selection of other classics, including "South of Heaven," "War Ensemble," and "Mandatory Suicide." As the group exits with blood-like rain falling on them, there can be no doubt that they have entered the pantheon of classic metal bands. Hardcore!!!! These guys show no signs of slowing
down!! The band is better than ever
especially with Dave Lombardo back on
drums! Ain't nothing like the original
line-up! Love the raining blood on the
stage at the end of their set!
The bonus tracks are some very good ones!
Hardcore Slayer fans should not miss
out on this DVD!! Submitted by cesarioram (Chicago, IL, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
\m/ Great Live DVD \m/ Slayer are the best metal band to me. I just saw them in concert for about the 6th time a few weeks ago and this DVD captures very well their power and professionalism live; the show I went to didn't have the raining blood like the show on this DVD so that was an added bonus for me. Dave Lombardo is the best drummer in metal, period. For $12 bucks this is a true metal bargain to watch live one of, and to me the best, metal bands of all time... Metal Kings If you listen to Slayer, and have not seen them, this is your chance to see them perform, as far as I'm concerned one of the greatest albums of all time, Reign In Blood. Slayer: Still Reigning is why Slayer are the metal kings. Submitted by leftyny (West Islip, NY, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Slayer Still Reigns Wow. When I heard about this DVD I couldn't wait to see it. It has met my expectations & then some. This doesn't have the "lame" fan stuff that their last DVD had. This is a straight performance fo the the classic
Reign in Blood! But wait not only do you get that you get additional
tracks for your veiwing & listening pleasure! This is a great production, it was filmed in a more intimate manner, that makes you feel like you are at the gig watching the show. I would recommend this DVD not only to the die hards, but to the casual fans of Slayer. It will make you appreciate the band more & likely make you a bigger fan.

$14.89 Iron Maiden rose from humble beginnings in London's gritty East End to become one of the most successful and influential bands of the new wave of British heavy metal. But it was the arrival of near-operatic lead singer Bruce Dickinson that propelled the band to worldwide fame with their third and breakthrough album, 1982's THE NUMBER OF THE BEAST.
