| Loudness Clarifies/Electronic Music From Tapelab Music Review Average Rating: (4 out of 5 stars) 2 Disc release from Breakbeat/Dub legend. Jack Dangers has been creating his signature combination of groovy drop beats, beefy basslines, dynamic samples, and analog synths farting, buzzing, and chirping away for some time now, and this one doesnt fail to deliver. "Loudness Clarifies" is a drums and bass CD in Dangers'classic style while the 2nd CD, "Electronic Music From Tapelab" is a collection of weird, sometimes ambient sounds that have little or no beats. It turns out to be a very interesting treat. Any fan of Meat Beat Manifesto, Tino, or any other of his alter-egos will gobble this up. Loudness Clarifies/Electronic Music From Tapelab
$9.69 This is a continuous in-the-mix CD compiled and mixed by Jack Dangers. Producers: Ben Stokes, Jack Dangers, Mike Powell. Not quite a solo album from the Meat Beat Manifesto mainman, Hello Friends! is actually a mix set, with Dangers spinning through tracks from the Tino's Breaks series released by him with producer/video director Ben Stokes on their own Tino Corp. label. Hidden behind the alias of a reportedly reclusive Cuban percussionist named Tino, Dangers or Stokes (but usually not both) construct break records that range from excellent to solid. Give credit to both of them (and Mike Powell, who produced a few of these); the beats are strong and chunky as on the best Meat Beat Manifesto records, and though there's not much ...
| | Jack Dangers Varianciones Espectrales CD (2002)
Loudness Clarifies/Electronic Music From Tapelab
$9.69 Personnel includes Jack Dangers, Lynn Farmer. Recorded at Tape Lab Studio, California in October 2001. Recording information: Tape Lab, CA (10/2001). Variaciones Espectrales is Meat Beat Manifesto's Jack Dangers' contribution to the Series 7 collection. Per the rules of the series, the album contains seven songs recorded over the course of seven days. Neither the brevity of the album nor the time constraints of the recording process have held back Dangers' trademark studio wizardry. These seven songs are a fine addition to his storied discography. If the tracks are a bit more ambient and less fleshed-out than a formal Meat Beat Manifesto release, it doesn't keep Dangers from storming the studio left and right. Electro beeps and blips, freaky hip-hop shuffles, sci-fi sound samples, distorted, skittery beats, and bizarre breakbeats blend in the same effortless fashion as those on a Meat Beat Manifesto album. ...
| | Tino's Breaks, Vol. 6: Hallowe'En Dub CD (2002)
Loudness Clarifies/Electronic Music From Tapelab
$15.19 Newest in this fav DJ series Tino's Breaks, Volume 6 pays serious bass beat homage to Dub and the classic sound bites of Hallowe'en. Dripping in effects and sounds galore, it's a super-natural pairing sure to please all Dub devotees and Hallowe'en heads.Still cloaked in his Latino duds by way of Jamaica, Tino unearths new tracks in the underground laboratory of Jack Dangers, Ben Stokes and Mike Powell. While Hallowe'en sounds abound, this party-packed set of Dub-a-licious breakbeat has year-round appeal. Put the needle in the groove...Tino's Breaks Volume 6 - Hallowe'en Dub morphs into vinyl as a Dub-ble LP and lays host to sinister scratch track experiments hatched in the 'lab' called "Skidmarks". Tino's special brand of 'skidmarks' features "Fright Guard"TM promising skip-proof beats for hardcore 'scratching'."Tino's Breaks are buy-on-sight collections of breaks and interludes" - URB Spotlight
The sixth entry in the Tino's Breaks series of breaks-and-beats compilations has a seasonal theme, if a slightly twisted one: It's a combination ...

| | Meat Beat Manifesto At The Center CD (2005)
Loudness Clarifies/Electronic Music From Tapelab
$13.59 Meat Beat Manifesto: Jack Dangers (various instruments). Personnel: Peter Gordon (flute); Jack Dangers (bass flute, bass clarinet); Craig Taborn (grand piano, Fender Rhodes piano, Clavinet); Dave King (drums, percussion). Additional personnel: Peter Gordon (flute); Craig Taborn (piano, Hammond b-3 organ); Dave King . Unknown Contributor Role: Jack Dangers. Jazz composer/arranger/theorist George Russell used to explain his piece "Dimensions" as "a sequence of freely associated moods indigenous to jazz." Same could be said about At the Center but this time the person doing the free associating doesn't come from the world of jazz, at least not as far as his previous records have let on. As Meat Beat Manifesto, Jack Dangers has been responsible for some of the most in-your-face dance music available, recorded for the seminal industrial dance label Wax Trax, and paved the road for ...
