This, the fifth in the series of Chess boxes, contains 71 tracks sequenced chronologically from 1951-1973. Digitally remastered from original master tapes and 78s, it includes two previously unknown solo acoustic guitar and vocal performances ("Ain't Going Down That Dirt Road" and "I'm the Wolf"), four segments from HOWLIN' WOLF TALKS and 17 tracks either previously unreleased in the US or on LP.
28 of the tracks are in stereo, including previously unissued versions of "Killing Floor", "Spoonful" and "I Ain't Superstitious". The package includes a 32-page LP-sized booklet, with 2 sets of liner notes containing a biography, track-by-track annotation, a Chess discography and rare photos.

Harmonica virtuoso Larry Adler spent most of his time in England and Europe during the 1930s. Like Living Era's Maestro of the Mouth Organ, Pearl Flapper's I Got Rhythm focuses upon the recordings he made between December 1934 and May 1938. Nova Scotian indie rap stalwart Jesse Dangerously returns once again with a new record of ear-baffling raps, Verba Volant, featuring just all kinds of slamming beats and adroit guest raps from Canada's indomitable Backburner crew... and a few other friends!Although the album's ten tracks feature vocal appearances from Johnny Hardcore (Newfoundland), ginzuintriplicate (Dartmouth/Osaka), Toolshed (London, ON), Don Brownrigg (Newfoundland again!), Rez Villain (Membertou, Cape Breton), Wordburglar (Halifax), Apt (Halifax) and More or Les (Toronto), as well as scratches from Uncle Fester, the guests are concentrated onto four songs of reasonable lengths and with the scratch intro, the remaining five tracks are all Jesse!
