Boom Boom album for sale Product Description
Boom Boom album for sale by John Lee Hooker was released Dec 07, 2010 on the Synergy Distribution label. Boom Boom is a generic but fun and fine sounding compilation of John Lee Hooker cuts from his Detroit/Vee Jay period in the 1950s, with a few cuts from the early '60s. There is nothing to particularly distinguish this from the many other collections out there -- numerous ones with the same name -- but its flows well from beginning to end, contains the title track and "House Rent Boogie" (thank goodness; you'd be surprised at how many budget comps don't), and has some unusual tracks like "Onions," and "Send Me Your Pillow" in the mix. Boom Boom CD music contains a single disc with 14 songs. ...See Full Description

| Another great all star set John Lee created a subgenre of pupils playing with the master. This set is of the same ilk. All the tracks sizzle with the fire that burned so brightly for so long with John L. The remaster is top notch. The bass really thumps and the clarity makes your stereo or media player disappear. Fantastic! By redvelvetjames (Jacksonville, IL) This review is for a different format. |
