Derek Sherinian Mythology Songs Mythology Music Review Average Rating: (4.5 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews Varied and Sonically Intriguing Derek has pulled together wonderful players on this album. The music is varied and hits on different moods...even within the same song! When he put Zakk Wylde and Allan Holdsworth putting guitar down on the same track, you know it's going to be interesting. This is a fun album to listen to and I look forward to hearing his new one! Submitted by Ytsejamer1 (Somersworth, NH, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Great Players!! Holdsworth, Stevens, Lukather and Wylde on guitars. Sherinian has a knack for writing great sons for guitarists to solo head to head with him. Holdsworth dazzles on his 2 cuts and Stevens shows his versatility from flamenco to jazzy to rockin' out. The River vocal song is a throwaway. An Album of Mythological Proportions Sherinian has always delivered, be it as a solo artist or back-up man, and continues the streak with this stellar (mostly) instumental album. The CD starts strong, keeps the intensity going (although the Church song is a bit dullish) and finishes even stronger with a great Zakk Wylde vocal number. The best tracks, however, feature Billy Idol guitarist Steve Stevens on "Alpha Burst" and "El Flamingo Suave." If you like listening to people who play their instruments very well, check it out. un ottimo album! consiglio vivamente questo nuovo album di Derek Sherinian a tutti coloro che apprezzano gli altri suoi lavori solisti e agli amanti del prog metal in generale.
in Mythology Derek alterna a pezzi metal come Day "Of The Dead", "Alpha Burst", "God Of War" canzoni molto piů melodiche come "A View From The Sky", "Goin' to Church" e "El Flamingo Suave".
Un album che vale la pena avere
