In 2004, Hank Marvin, Bruce Welch, and Brian Bennett came together again for one lst time to blaze through a set of their most recognizable classic tunes. Known as England's answer to The Ventures, underrated British rock group The Shadows started out as Cliff Richards' 1950s backup band, but went on to score solo success as surf-guitar instrumentalists throughout the 1960s and '70s. This 2004 concert reunites original members Hank Marvin, Bruce Welch, and Brian Bennett as they perform Shadows classics such as "Apache," "Man of Mystery," "FBI," "Kon Tiki," "Wonderful Land," "Theme for Young Lovers," and many more.

Shadows - The Final Tour Movie Review Average Rating: (4.7 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews Great DVD The audio and video are the best.
This is really an enjoyable DVD and would recommend to anyone who loves and appreciates clean and pretty guitar
instrumentals (includes some good vocals). Submitted by Goodpm (NC, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No 2 of 2 found this helpful.
A little cheesy, but rock solid. The Shadows were a great band. This performance stands as a testament to that. Good, clean & easy listening.
The boys, despite thier age, throw a thoroughly entertaining show (wait for the drum solo in the second half). The set list is comprehensive, all the faviroutes.
The recording quality is great, well worth the purchase price, for prosterity alone.

Hank's the man! Excellent DVD illustrating why Hank Marvin rules! This DVD is a must for Shadows' aficionados. It comprises all the necessary ditties, such as, "Peace Pipe", "Dance On", "Kon-Tiki", "Wonderful Land", "Atlantis", "Foot Tapper", "Apache", of course, "Theme from Yound Lovers", "Deer Hunter", etc. "Shane" would have been nice for the arcane Shadow fan. I liked Hank's acknowledgment of Mark Knopfler, as well. The extras on the after show party are also excellent. Great to see that Brian May shows up at the party - another great virtuoso like Knopfler (both Hank fans). Cliff's also a nice finishing addition at the party as well.
The interview with Hank, Bruce and Brian is also great footage.
Hank, Bruce and Brian play deftly! Boogie on Shadow Men!

I was introduced to the "SHADOW'S" in 1964.Ironically I met a new to be best friend from England who shared his collection of THE SHADOW's with me.It was LOVE at first note!!This one and only band has the BEST lead guitarist and drummer IN THE WORLD!The cleanest lead guitar and tightest drum and cymbal lick's you'll ever hear. This Final Tour is off the charts. Mark M. Submitted by macgowanfam (Escondido, CA, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No 1 of 1 found this helpful.

Shadows - The Final Tour review
$11.59 So long, farewell...the Shadows had been around so long that it felt like they'd go on forever. But their tours had been growing more sporadic as the years piled up behind them and, when 2004 brought the news that they were finally closing the lid on their career, it was difficult not to shed a tear for auld lang's syne. Of course they wouldn't really be gone; almost from the moment the first CD fell off the pressing plant, the Shadows have been subject to one of the most vociferous reissue/remastering campaigns of all. All their absence would really mean was, no more "new" albums to compete with the oldies. Well, almost. There would be one more. Recorded on that final tour, to be spread across both a two-CD package and an excellent DVD, Final Tour is the last word in Shadows finery, a 42-track behemoth that effectively tells the band's entire story, from the early days of omnipotence ("Apache," "Frightened City," "Man of Mystery," through the 1970s renaissance "Let me Be the One," "Don't Cry for Me Argentina," "Oxygene 5") and most points in between and thereafter. There's even a tip of ...
