That Represent Man CD music
$16.19 KIRK "ELI" FLETCHERGuitarist Kirk "Eli" Fletcher is, ironically, a rare presence on todays blues scene: a 20-something African-American man who has thoroughly immersed himself in the classic blues sounds of the 1950s and '60s. Son of a Baptist minister, Kirk's introduction to the blues came as a teenager, through his older brother's copy of B.B. King's "Live At the Regal", and he hasn't looked back since. In Kirk's ...

That Represent Man CD music
$13.79 The second studio album by contemporary electric blues supergroup the Mannish Boys delivers straightforward Chicago-style blues in an unfussy setting. The list of special guests is as long as the nine-piece band, including guest singers Jody Williams and Bobby Lee Jones, guitarist Rick Holmstrom, pianist Rob Rio, bassists Jeff Big Dad Turmes and Larry "The Mole" Taylor, harmonica player Mitch Kashmar and saxophonist David Woodford. As a result, no one singer or instrumentalist predominates, giving Big Plans a sort of R&B revue feel. The songs are mostly originals by members of the band including bandleader Randy Chortkoff and slide guitarist Frank Goldwasser; while the band get points for largely avoiding the temptation to simply bash out the usual electric blues suspects, none of the album's original material sounds likely ...

That Represent Man CD music
$13.15 "Reflections on Life's Journey" is written in a lyrical, contemplative style with unique harmonies, relaxing and calming, with dual aspects. It is at once a "literal" cinematic depiction of the elements of nature inspired by much time spent reflecting and listening to the sounds and music in nature: the breeze whispering through the leaves of the dancing tree branches; birds singing; bees buzzing among the flowers ablaze with color and perfuming the air; the river, at times turbulent, at others, murmuring gently as it flows out to sea with its waves crashing to the shore, then the ebbing of the tide; the mist on the mountain gently kissing one's cheek; the patter of raindrops; the warmth of the radiant sun shining down from blue skies, clouds overhead; the quiet of a moonlit ...
