This DVD by the metal gian includes 10 music videos, along with Swedish rock championship: Sweden's contribution to the 1980s hair-band genre, Europe ruled the Reagan-era airwaves with a catchy blend of melody and hard rock capsulized by their massive metal anthem "The Final Countdown." ROCK THE WORLD pays tribute to the shaggy-haired Swedish rockers with a collection of interviews, music videos, behind-the-scenes footage, television appearances, and live performances of hits such as "Let the Good Times Rock," "Prisoners in Paradise," "Carrie," and many more.

A Great Collection I've waited for years for a collection like this for Europe. This is a band that started out strong and slowly got lost between Heavy Metal and plain Rock genres. Nevertheless, their delivery has always been strong. I'd give this 5 stars except that there wasn't enough live footage of the band. Submitted by Kubtan (FL, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
5 star plus These guys really rock. They always have.
This dvd has only one problem, is to short. We need more stuff from these guys.
The special features are great. You can see the guys rocking before their explosion on the world scenes with The Final Countdown.
Brilliant DVD For Europe Fans

Really a Wonderful Rock Band!!!! Well, What can i say....This DVD is really amazing from the very first beginnings to the Prisoners in Paradise album...EUROPE Really Rocks the world away!!!! It's incredible how they become mature musicians through the times. This DVD shows how EUROPE won the prize in a Switzerland contest OUT OF 2,000 bands.! You can see the first line up with Mike Reno at drums, the greatest John Norum at Guitar, John Leven (Serious but a kick #%$Bassist) and the awesome vocalist Joey Tempest(Joakim his real name). You also can see the video collection with The final Countdown, Rock the night, Carrie, Cherokee, Superstitious, open your heart, prisoners in paradise, etc..some performances live at their beginnings... You have to buy it....Even if you are not into the 80´s Glam Rock....ENJOY IT! Submitted by Joaquin Medina (Honduras,Central America.) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

Europe - Rock The World review
$7.15 Closed Captioned; Standard Screen; Soundtrack English
Taking the heavy metal world by storm in the early 1980s with their stadium-rock anthem "Cum on Feel the Noize," Quiet Riot's career mirrored that old adage epitomized by rock and roll: "live fast and die young." Rising quickly to heights of stardom that shocked both the public and the band themselves, their trajectory was fraught with obstacles that prevented them from assuming iconic status in rock history. Frontman Kevin DuBrow, who supremely embodied the rock star bad attitude with his loud mouth and quick temper, had difficulty dealing with success, and even more difficulty dealing with the failure experienced by their debut album's successor, CRITICAL CONDITION. Aptly named, it was a rushed attempt to capitalize on the group's current popularity, and marked the beginning of Dubrow's seemingly systematic burning of bridges the band had struggled to build, ...
