Gold album for sale Product Description
Gold album for sale by Mama's & The Papa's was released Jan 11, 2005 on the Geffen label. Though L.A. quartet the Mamas & the Papas were one of the quintessential 1960s folk-rock bands, they were unique even among their peers. Gold songs For one thing, they were almost exclusively vocalists, a harmony group rather than a traditional rock "band," and most instrumental chores were left to hired hands. For another, they bore more of a '50s rock/pop influence than almost any of their contemporaries, though filtered through a more "modern" sensibility. Gold CD music is a 2-disc set with 32 songs. ...See Full Description

Animals Retrospective CD (2004) Top Seller
Gold songs Today the most recognition the Animals get is "House of the Rising Sun" being played on oldies radio, but in the mid-1960s they were a powerful part of the British Invasion, often reckoned on a par with the Beatles, the Stones, and the Who. Like those bands, the Animals had strong roots in blues and R&B, but, in their original incarnation, they stayed closer to those roots than their peers did. This definitive compilation, masterfully assembled by the ABKCO think tank of Teri Landi and Jody Klein, shows the tough, uncompromising use to which the Animals put their American influences. John Lee Hooker's "Boom Boom" is recast as a raw garage rocker glazed with Alan Price's sinister organ riffs, and the aforementioned "House of the Rising Sun" is transformed from a traditional folk lament to an urgent, ominous piece of churning tumult.
Of course, the group skillfully expanded those roots (with the help of some great writers), and turned out some classic working-class-rebel anthems ("We Gotta Get Out of This Place," "It's My Life"). By '67, the original lineup disbanded, and Eric Burdon led a new batch of Animals into a psychedelic West Coast sound ("San Franciscan Nights," "Monterey"). The Animals may not be given pride of place in the rock history books, but RETROSPECTIVE shows that they fully deserve it.

Who Ultimate Collection CDs (2002) Top Seller
Gold buy CD music Initial pressings of THE ULTIMATE COLLECTION included a limited edition bonus disc featuring four previously unreleased tracks.
Recorded between November 1964 and June 1982. Includes liner notes by Matt Kent and Andy Neill.
When it comes to a ground-breaking, iconic band like the Who, dubbing an anthology THE ULTIMATE COLLECTION is no small claim. The kicker here is that it happens to be the truth. Without venturing into the realm of the box set, there's never been such a definitive batch of Who tunes all under one roof before. Virtually all the bases are covered here, from such attitude-laden mid-'60s mod anthems as "My Generation" and "Anyway, Anyhow, Anywhere" to the conceptual expansiveness of TOMMY-era tunes ("I'm Free," "See Me Feel Me"). We get the full-on long-haired, bare-chested glory of the early '70s ("Won't Get Fooled Again") as well as the tapered, synth-flecked smartness of the early '80s ("Eminence Front," "You Better You Bet." For someone looking for an entry point into the work of this larger-than-life group, or just somebody who wants a great all-purpose who disc, THE ULTIMATE COLLECTION is truly a case of truth in advertising. Get one.
Keith Moon, Kenney Jones (drums).

Beatles Capitol Albums, Vol. 1 CDs (2004)
Gold CD music Includes both stereo and mono versions of the USA-only albums MEET THE BEATLES (1964), THE BEATLES' SECOND ALBUM (1964), SOMETHING NEW (1964), and BEATLES '65 (1964), and a 60 page booklet including rare photos and select quotes from John, Paul, George and Ringo.
All tracks have been digitally mastered using 24-bit technology.
Although America wasn't the first to catch on to the Beatles, it certainly gave the Fabs a worldwide stage from which to launch their pop music invasion. During the space of 12 months in 1964, Capitol released four Beatles LPs that reshuffled various British Parlophone LPs, EPs, and singles. The result of this rejiggering was four unique titles that, along with those famed Ed Sullivan performances, were the introduction to this global phenomenon for millions in the United States. For the 40th anniversary of these releases, this 2004 set represents the first time these titles were ever available on CD, and features both mono and stereo (or "duophonic") versions of all the songs.
Because of the Beatles' enthusiasm, high standards, and synergy, these evergreen tracks crackle and burn, guaranteeing giddy, joyous memories for some, while also enlisting new fans. Among the many classics are the groundbreaking single, "I Want to Hold Your Hand," and other romantic rockers ("I Saw Her Standing There," "She Loves You," "All My Loving"), as well as cover tunes ("Long Tall Sally," "Roll Over Beethoven") and lesser-known songs ("Any Time at All," "I'll Follow the Sun"). The boys had been tirelessly working the nightclub trenches for a number of years prior to these albums, but, in truth, John, Paul, George, and Ringo were just getting started.

Beach Boys Sounds of Summer: The Very Best of the Beach Boys CD (2003) Top Seller
Gold buy CD music This collection perfectly captures on a single disc the career arc of one of America's most important pop groups. Stuffing 30 songs into a small space, SOUNDS OF SUMMER checks in with these West Coast sunshine pop wizards at each phase of their development. There's the early chicks-and-cars, Chuck Berry-influenced material ("I Get Around," "Little Deuce Coupe"), the surf songs on which the Beach Boys' early reputation is based (the genre's national anthem "Surfin' Safari," the surprisingly transcendent "Surfer Girl"), and more.
Of course the celebrated "teenage symphonies to God" era is covered nicely, with such untouchable moments as "God Only Knows," "Good Vibrations," and "Wouldn't It Be Nice." The fact that the band didn't dry up and blow away after the 1960s is not lost on SOUNDS OF SUMMER either, as witnessed by the inclusion of Chuck Berry cover "Rock and Roll Music" and the latter-day summer-fun hit "Kokomo."
Recorded between 1962 & 1988.
Includes liner notes by Anthony DeCurtis.

Monkees Best of the Monkees CDs (2003)
Gold songs Recorded between 1966 & 1968. Includes liner notes by Andrew Sandoval.
This is as fine a job as anyone could look for in a single-disc Monkees career summary. Over the course of this generous 25-song disc, all of the Monkees numerous hits are included ("Last Train to Clarksville," "Daydream Believer," etc.), but perhaps more significantly, many lesser-known songs of equal quality can be heard. While the Monkees' many unforgettable hits were generally written by great pop composers of the day like Neil Diamond ("I'm a Believer"), Gerry Goffin & Carole King ("Pleasant Valley Sunday"), and the team of Boyce & Hart (damn near everything else), that's not the whole story.
Though the Monkees were criticized for being merely actors playing a band, Mike Nesmith was in fact a superb songwriter. He's represented by several songs here (the garagey "Mary Mary," the expansive "The Girl I Knew Somewhere," et al), and went on to release some of the best country-rock albums ever made. And though most of the playing on Monkees tracks was done by L.A. studio musicians, the blend of British-Invasion and pop-psych is totally convincing in a manner not unlike self-contained fellow Californians the Beau Brummels. Besides, as great as the Brummels were, would you really want to put their rhythm section up against the likes of Carole Kaye and Hal Blaine?
25 action-packed tracks boasting all the must-have Monkees music on one CD, plus a bonus karaoke CD + G featuring five tracks, '(Theme From) The Monkees', 'I'm A Believer', '(I'm Not Ypur) Steppin' Stone', 'Pleasant Valley Sunday' & Daydream Believer'. Slipcase. Rhino. 2003.
Includes a bonus karaoke disc.
