| | Paul Mccartney's Get Back DVD Paul McCartney CDS
This PG-rated movie stars Paul McCartney in the film of his tour. After 13 years producing studio albums that were not-so-favorably received by the critical establishment, ex-Beatle Paul McCartney made a remarkable return to the road in 1989-1990 with his "Get Back" world tour. The show, which also featured Paul's wife Linda, as well as a full band, showcased music from throughout McCartney's career, with a carefully-selected set list comprised of just the hits. Beatles songs such as "Fool on the Hill" and "I Saw Her Standing There" sit side by side with solo efforts and Wings songs, such as "Band on the Run" and "Live and Let Die." Richard Lester, who made the early Beatles films HELP! and A HARD DAY'S NIGHT, came out of retirement to create this document of the tour, which is comprised of highlights from concerts across the globe. While the film shows uninterrupted concert and song footage, the archive photographs McCartney projected behind the band during the shows provides a look back in history at the peaceable star's remarkable career. $18.29 In the face of seemingly endless media coverage of Paul McCartney's dramatic personal life--the death of his beloved wife Linda and subsequent marriage to the much younger model/activist Heather Mills--it is easy to forget that McCartney is a brilliant musician first, and a British icon second. The former Beatle, one-half of the genius songwriting team that authored the great majority of that pioneering rock band's hits, was the ...

Paul Mccartney's Get Back review
$10.99 Director Luc Besson (THE FIFTH ELEMENT) tries his hand at a children's film with ARTHUR AND THE INVISIBLES. Based on a book, this adventure follows Arthur (Freddie Highmore) as he journeys in his own backyard to save his home from greedy land developers. When his grandfather disappears, Freddie follows a series of clues that lead him to the land of the Minimoys (aka the Invisibles). Arthur's entrance into their realm takes the film from live-action to computer animation, changing Arthur from a 10-year-old boy into one of the Minimoys. The elf-like people he encounters are so tiny that insects dwarf them. Their warrior princess (voiced by Madonna) is ready to ascend the throne of the tiny kingdom. But first she and Arthur must join forces to outwit the evil Malthazar (voiced by David Bowie), who is intent on destroying the kindhearted race.
ARTHUR AND THE INVISIBLES boasts a cast of ...
