Johnny Taylor Live at the Longhorn Ballroom
This performance was ausome. JT was better than "best". CD universe delivered my dvd in a very timely manner, I would definitely engage them again.

Enjoyable but no WOW!
I enjoyed the show as it was my first time seeing Johnnie Taylor perform; however; I thought the familiar faces in the crowd may have kept Johnnie from putting on a more structured show.
I was left feeling like "that's it?

I like the video very much. Each time I play it I like it more and more. Johnny was one of my favorite entertainers, and that's why I wanted the video so badly. It lived up to what I had expected.

Not the One I was looking for, but.....
I went to the Johnnie Taylor Show at the Longhorn Ballroom in May 1996, I hoped that this video was THAT Show, but it's from August 1997....But it's basically the same Show, save for a few Cuts like Love Bones and Cheaper to Keeper that were left off this video...Taylor sings with passion, much better than the Live in Dallas video from 1989 at the Fairmont Hotel....and His Cute Daughter does one song with Him; worthwhile purchase from the Late Great Soul Singer
