| | Bob Dylan Nashville Skyline CD (1969) SACD Hybrid
Kekkon No Katachi/Order Made/Otomo Sorin Soundtrack CD music
$8.49 This is a hybrid Super Audio CD playable on both regular and Super Audio CD players.
Dylan's (first) country record helped provide template for Americana movement, and yielded top-10 hit "Lay Lady Lay."
It is hard to recall now how deeply unfashionable country music was in 1969-- Dylan's label, Columbia, dismayed at his apparent retrogression, begged him to remove the word NASHVILLE from the album's title. However, as usual, he proved ahead of the game; his embrace of country ushered in Gram Parsons, the Flying Burrito Brothers, and scores of subsequent artists under the Americana banner. Prescient too was his nod to Johnny Cash, with whom he duets on the gorgeous "Girl From The North Country." Buoyed by an altered, near-crooning vocal style, most of the tracks are pleasant and enduring; the chart hit "Lay Lady Lay" remains one of Dylan's most engaging songs.
John Wesley Harding suggested country with its textures and structures, but Nashville Skyline was a full-fledged country album, complete with steel guitars and brief, direct songs. It's a warm, friendly album, particularly since Bob Dylan is singing in a previously unheard gentle croon -- the sound of his voice is so different it may be disarming upon first listen, but it suits the songs. While there are a handful of lightweight numbers on the record, at its core are ...

Kekkon No Katachi/Order Made/Otomo Sorin Soundtrack CD music
$9.85 Pamela Carolino was born on September 1st 1983, in Brazil. Governador Valadares, Minas Gerais, to be more exact. The first grandchild to be born, she was lucky enough to be exposed to the musical influences of both sides of the family. She had aunts who sang and uncles who played instruments. But from the beginning her biggest influences were her mom and her dad. "My dad taught himself to play the guitar by ear. I can remember as a child at bedtime my dad would sing and play for me this lullaby he wrote with my name in it. I still remember some of it. And my mom is an awesome alto. I can remeber her taking me to her choir rehearsals. I would sit there and listen to her sing. Her voice was always the stongest." Pamela was raised in the church and she was born to a family that was very involved in the church. All her family members played in the church band and sang in the church choirs and youth groups. In 1987 she migrated to the United States with her mother. Her dad had arrived a year and a half earlier. Her first years in the America were filled with disapointments and struggle. Especially after the divorce of her parents. To add on to the difficulties a new sibling had also entered the picture. "My middle school years were not easy. I was an extremely depressed teen. I didn't know who I was or what i was supposed to be. I would cry myself to sleep every night. But no one knew." In high school things got a little better. She enrolled at Madison Park Technical Vocational high School in Roxbury, Mass and decided that music would be her vocation. She took guitar lessons, piano lessons, alittle bit of bass, alittle bit of the flute and sang with the choir. While there, she was introduced to the world of black gospel music. And it was from that point on that her relationship with music truly began. "I loved that school. I can truly say that the music program there, saved my life. They shined a light on the path I had to walk down to find myself. For that I am truly grateful." " I loved singing ...
