This is for any music lover regardless of your taste in music! These guys are exciting to listen to and they seem to feed off eachother in every track! I hope someday they make another Lp together.
To be honest i bought the vinyl Lp (used for 3 dollars) because
i love Mr.Brufords playing, the guy is truly amazing.I need to buy a copy of this CD import because the vinyl i bought doesn't have these extra bonus tracks!! You wont regret it

This is a unique recording for acoustic piano and drums ONLY. No overdubs, no tricks, just two guys playing their axes like only they can play them. This music won’t be for everyone and there is really nothing to compare it too. If you are familiar with Moraz’s piano playing, think of his “Windows” CD, then think of Bruford’s drumming on Discipline/Beat/Three of a Perfect Pair era King Crimson. Now put these two guys in one studio with one acoustic piano and one acoustic drum set and leave them alone (but remembering turn on the recording devices) come back in an hour and you will have Music for Piano and Drums. My favorite cut is “Blue Brains”. The three added bonus cuts are live recordings, one of them being “Blue Brains”, very cool! If you like either one (or both) of these fine musicians, then add this excellent set to your collection.

In his liner notes to the double-disc, two-and-a-half-hour Boz Scaggs compilation My Time: The Anthology (1969-1997), Ben Fong-Torres writes, "There are those who, charting Boz's career, identify specific phases: rock and roll with [Steve] Miller; the early solo albums, which were as much country and blues, and pop and jazz, as they were rock; the Slow Dancer/Silk Degrees stage, of Boz as sweet soul singer; the nearly decade-long retrenchment and semi-retirement, and the return to rootsy blues and R&B in Some Change and Come On Home." Fong-Torres goes on to say that this is not an incorrect way to describe Scaggs' career, but that there is more unity than it would imply: "in every phase of his career, he has remained faithful to his musical instincts." As a lyricist, Randy Newman is many things -- humorous, witty, clever, biting, world-weary, thought-provoking, and insightful are among the words that immediately come to mind when one thinks of Newman's pop/rock contributions. He can be cynical and sarcastic, but he's also compassionate.
