After a slow and gradual climb out of obscurity, Denmark's Mercenary really seem to have hit their stride with their third album, 2004's Eleven Dreams. Following the beautifully orchestrated intro "Into the Sea of Dark Desires," the ultra-heavy, yet also ultra-melodic "World Hate Center" takes us right back to the '90s Gothenburg death metal sound (remember Dark Tranquility, In Flames, et al?), but also augments the style's typical Cookie Monster growls with high-pitched, clean vocal lines. 11 Dreams CD music contains a single disc with 13 songs.   ...See Full Description

Great Album From Start To Finish
This album got me into power metal and beyond. The atmosphere of the title track and the mix of two vocalists throughout this album make it my favorite mercenary album to date.

Very solid album
After having seen Mercenary play at the ProgPower USA IV festival in 2003, I was into this band a lot. 11 Dreams is the latest from this six-man band from Denmark and it's a winner.
