$7.69 After bringing their high-energy and innovative style and sound to the masses with RAISING HELL, RUN-DMC returned with a fabulous follow-up to that ground-breaking album. TOUGHER THAN LEATHER packs plenty of punch and also sports some classic tracks such as "Run's House" and "Beats to the Rhyme." In a move that had proved successful in the past, RUN-DMC chose a remake with "Mary, Mary." One of RUN-DMC's most popular songs to ever hit the streets, "Mary, Mary" provided the commercial pop sound that catapulted the ...
| | Shamus Dark Songs For Suicidal Lovers CD (2006) (Import)
1950-1953 album
$11.15 “Songs For Suicidal Lovers” is the debut album from previously unheard of and reclusive vocalist, Shamus Dark. Despite living a life that could only have come from fiction (see www.shamusdark.com), and being involved with music for decades, this is the first time that a recording project featuring Shamus has seen the light of day. And as such it has been a labour of love, on which Shamus decided he must record the songs that had most deeply affected him throughout his turbulent years. Although it features songs from nearly every decade of the 20th Century, Shamus was also categorical that the arrangements should sound like nothing that has gone before:“I’ve heard all these ‘Standards’ albums by these ...

| | Livio Cruel Intentions CD (2007)
1950-1953 music CDs
$10.59 In the rainy city known as Seattle, a young lyricist is prepared to blow supported by his crew the twenty-one year old rhymer with punch lines you just can’t ignore, absorbs images from his environment and turns them in to lyrics that will keep your rewind button busy. From going to school to turning to the streets, Livio always had a niche to rhyme, no matter where he was he would always be putting words together and he has never been one to shy away from life’s gritty reality. Known on his city streets for having impressive talent at such a young age, Livio would rap any chance he got and would record at another local rappers house that he had befriended. “It wasn’t really much” says Livio “I think we were recording on an 8 track, but at least we got to hear ourselves on tape and when I stopped going to school, I decided to take my music seriously because I saw that I could get paid to do what I love to do.” He was only 16 years old. After a year of writing rhymes, Livio hooked up with an old friend turned promoter (Amir). The two decided to join forces and put together Livio’s first album. They got with platinum producer Funkdaddy and nine months later out came his debut album “My Life vol. 1” Livio’s first complete studio album. The album had guest appearances by artists like Noreaga, D12, Trey Dee, B-Legit and several other west coast legends. His first album was well accepted in the Northwest as well as the rest of the west coast and secured his place in the West Coast Underground Hip-Hop scene. Livio, along with platinum producer Funkdaddy, has since started their own label, called Funkdaddy Records.Inspired by his love for Rap, his family, friends and, the other members of his crew, Livio’s aggressive, complex and street-smart rhyme style has brought new life to the Northwest Hip-Hop scene. “I grew up listening to Ice Cube and N.W.A., L.L. Cool J, Big Daddy Kane, Rakim, 2pac, and Snoop” says Livio “So when I wrote my own rhymes most of it came from my point of view and it would be my style of rap but I had a lot of influences” Livio still enjoys listening to some of today’s rappers and says he is still influenced ...
