The Number Twelve Looks Like You: Justin, Smoogs, Jase, Alex, Chree. f you asked the six members of this band how The Number Twelve got started, you would get six different stories. However, a few things remain consistent. One thing that is a known fact is that The Number Twelve Looks Like You is a real band, and the members of this band live in New Jersey. They might have formed sometime around 2001, but some skeptics might lead you to believe differently. The Number Twelve is made up of an eclectic collection of musicians that all add a certain "flavor" when making up the compositions of a sound that cannot be pigeonholed into one genre. Since the formation of the band they have recorded songs, traveled the country in a beat up van playing these songs, and made a ton of merch for themselves. This cycle continued for around two years until the people at Eyeball Records decided they would give this raggedy group of gents a shot. The Number Twelve now plans to work on new full-length due out on Eyeball in 2005, and to tour so much that people get so sick of seeing them that they violently vomit. And Inch Of Gold For An Inch Of Time album
$8.55 Following in the footsteps of Killswitch Engage, Age of Ruin, and God Forbid, to name but a few, Adelaide, Australia's cleverly named I Killed the Prom Queen represent the new wave of post-nu-metal bands pursuing a hybridization of hardcore aggression and social awareness with death metal's speed and daunting technical execution. Straightforward song structures and pervasive melodies are also a crucial part of the equation espoused by their debut, 2004's When Goodbye Means Forever, and initial offerings like the title track and "To Kill Tomorrow" prove that I Killed the Prom Queen are very adept at mining this winning formula -- despite their short time together. However, because of their over-reliance on hard/soft dynamics (also including alternating slashed-throat screams and recitative vocals), "Upon a River's ...

And Inch Of Gold For An Inch Of Time album
$10.39 Things are looking up for An Angle. Having waded through the mire of two lackluster, somewhat mopey releases, Kris Anaya and friends seem to have finally struck firm ground with their third album. Make no mistake: there's still a good deal of naval gazing on The Truth Is That You Are Alive. The key difference here is in the approach; Anaya just seems more grown up. The watery, self-absorbed meandering that characterized his earlier work has more or less evaporated, and the songs themselves are more confident, fully realized, and enjoyable. On top of all this, Anaya's pulled further away from the angst-ridden influences that dominated his two previous albums; there's less Conor Oberst, less Elliott Smith, and more of his own wry, half-grinning self. The odd ...
