| | Mozart: Concertos For 2 & 3 Pianos / Nikolaeva, Et Al CD Lugansky / Mozart / Nikolaeva / Virsaladze CDS
T. Nikolaeva's concert activities, having begun even before the pianist's victory at the Bach International Competition, in 1950, have continued for more than 40 years. All this time the artist's tours in more than 35 countries have been an invariable success. Nikolaeva's discs enjoy a well-deserved, world-wide popularity today just as they have for decades. She is one of the few truly immortal performers. Eliso Virsaladze is a laureate of several international competitions including the 7th Youth and Students Festival in Vienna , the Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow and the Shuman Competition in Zwickau. On May 7, 1986 at the New Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, there took place the first concert of pianist Nikolai Lugansky. Shortly before that, the young musician marked his 14th birthday. The large, complex program of the concert, technically perfect, full of youthful exuberance and inspiration, demonstrated the pianist's mature sense of style and deep insight of each work. His success enabled him to occupy an important place among the world's most well-known musicians.
