Closed Captioned; Soundtrack English Tony Randall (SEND ME NO FLOWERS) and Janet Leigh (PSYCHO) helm this jaunty 1969 children's comedy about a family spending a month in a high-tech underwater house teeming with then-futuristic gadgets. They're prone to break into irrepressibly memorable songs like "Little Goldfish" and "Glub Glub Glub," and keep a dolphin and other assorted aquatic life around for lively company. It's a vintage '60s theatrical comedy in that the supporting cast of character actors must be experienced to be believed: Jim Backus (GILLIGAN'S ISLAND), Arnold Stang (MAN WITH THE GOLDEN ARM), Merv Griffin, Roddy McDowell (PLANET OF THE APES), Pat Henning (ON THE WATERFRONT), a young Richard Dreyfuss (JAWS), Charlotte Rae (THE FACTS OF LIFE), Lee Meredith (Ulla the secretary in THE PRODUCERS), and Ken Berry (MAYBERRY RFD).

Hello Down There review
$10.49 It is always difficult to try to recreate a classic movie, so Joel and Ethan Coen took the premise of Alexander Mackendrick's beloved 1955 Ealing Studio caper comedy, THE LADYKILLERS, as the basis for coming up with their own entertaining and bizarre remake. Tom Hanks stars as Goldthwait Higginson Dorr, Ph.D., a would-be professor who talks his way into the root cellar of Mrs. Munson (Irma P. Hall), where he and his supposed band will practice their "Renaissance music." But they are actually plotting to tunnel through to steal a mint from a riverboat casino. The motley crew of incompetent criminals includes Marlon Wayans as Gawain MacSam, a hip-hoppity thug pretending to be a janitor; J.K. Simmons as movie prop man and demolition ...

Hello Down There movie DVD
$9.89 Canadian director David Cronenberg, whose impressive oeuvre includes such disparate works as THE DEAD ZONE, THE FLY, DEAD RINGERS, M. BUTTERFLY, and SPIDER, has made what might be the best film of his career with A HISTORY OF VIOLENCE. Loosely based on the graphic novel by John Wagner and Vince Locke, the movie stars Viggo Mortensen as Tom Stall, a quiet, easygoing family man who runs a diner in a small Indiana town. But when two dangerous criminals come into the restaurant prepared to wreak havoc, Stall turns hero and shoots them both. After Stall's story is blasted all over the media, Philly mobster Carl Fogaty (an excellent Ed Harris) shows up, claiming that Tom is ...

Hello Down There video
$10.49 Queen Latifah is absolutely delightful in Wayne Wang's romantic comedy, LAST HOLIDAY. Latifah stars as Georgia Byrd, a reserved plus-sized woman who lives a dreary, ordinary life in pre-Katrina New Orleans, where she dreams of an elegant existence filled with fancy food, stylish clothing, and high-society parties. But she spends most of her evenings eating frozen dinners all alone, often thinking about a shy coworker (LL Cool J) she has a crush on. When she is suddenly diagnosed with a terminal illness and given three weeks to live, she collects her savings and decides to go crazy, doing all those things she would never allow herself to do before. She heads for one of the world's ritziest hotels, the Grand Hotel Pupp in Karlovy Vary in the Czech Republic, where she takes advantage of every luxury she can, from spa treatments to downhill ski runs to helicopter trips to designer shopping excursions. While her lavish appetite is admired by a gourmet chef (Gerard Depardieu, showing agile comic skill), she is deemed a potential threat by a corporate bigwig (a slick Timothy Hutton). She's also none too happy to find her too-smooth senator (Giancarlo Esposito) enjoying a lush vacation instead of serving his community.
Latifah simply lights up the screen in a ...
