In 1989, the all-star quartet of Wayne Shorter, Michel Petrucciani, Stanley Clarke, and Lenny White gathered at Chelsea Studios in New York City for an evening of brilliant music that blended the new and the old. The quartet of Wayne Shorter, sax; Michel Petrucciani, piano; Stanley Clarke, bass and Lenny White, drums, perform seven tunes from Gershwin's "Summertime" to Jaco Pastorius' "Dania." $15.65 A personal and comical account of the tough times of Moore's hometown of Flint, Michigan, the birthplace of General Motors. When GM closed several plants, 35,000 of the 150,000 residents lost their jobs.
In 1989, Michael Moore did something unique when hard times hit his hometown. He made Roger & Me, the uproariously funny movie that launched him onto America's cultural radar. Moore doggedly and hilariously tried to do what every working stiff dreams of: talk to the man at the top. His efforts to meet General Motors Chairman ...

| | Sky - Live In Concert: Bremen, Germany 1980 DVD (1980)
Manhattan Project movie DVD
$13.59 Upon the release of their first album in 1979, Sky described itself thus: "Five of the most respected musicians on Earth are in Sky." A slight exaggeration, this was not an empty promise, as the group was comprised of renowned classical guitarist John Williams, bass player Herbie Flowers, ex-Curved Air harpsichordist Francis Monkman, drummer Tristan Fry, and Kevin Peek on keys. The resulting sound was an unclassifiable, orchestral rock that was greatly influenced by the individual musicians' classical backgrounds. Confounding critics, the records sold very well, and this concert was held at the peak of the band's tenure together, around the time of their sophomore effort. Held in Bremen, Germany, in 1980, the set list includes "Westway Carillon," "Cavatina Danza," "Gymnopedia No 1," "Cannonball," and "Where Opposites Meet Parts 1,2,3,4 & 5."
This full length live performance was filmed in Bremen, Germany in 1980. Formed in 1979 by John Williams with Herbie Flowers, keyboardist Francis Monkman, drummer Tristan Fry and Australian guitarist Kevin Peek, Sky successfully melded the worlds of classical music and rock instrumentals. Hewing to a formula that blended ...

| | Old Fairy Tale: When The Sun Was God DVD (2003) Widescreen
Manhattan Project DVD
$16.69 A medieval Polish legend comes to life in this film based on the novel by Jozef Ignacy Kraszewski. Long before Poland was a nation, various Slavic tribes fought for regional dominance--with bloody results. This piece of history is presented here in epic fashion, much like director Jerzy Hoffman's previous project, WITH FIRE AND SWORD.
THE OLD FAIRY TALE, the long-awaited film from director Jerzy Hoffman, features a cast of renowned Polish stars, including Daniel Olbrychski, Jerzy Trela, and Michal Zebrowksi. Taken from a novel by Jozef Ignacy Kraszewski, the complex story is based on the 9th-century legend of Slavic tribes that existed long before the Polish state was formed. THE OLD FAIRY TALE is an epic superproduction in the same spirit as Hoffman's blockbuster ...
