While the 1987 modern-day Western Extreme Prejudice remains justly forgotten, Jerry Goldsmith's score certainly deserves the second look afforded by La-La Land's 2005 special edition. Seamlessly fusing strings and synthesizers, the music is at once traditional and contemporary, its visceral intensity sharply capturing the film's emphasis on action.
