Beaches Movie Review Average Rating: (4.8 out of 5 stars) Fantastic Movie Heart warming and a sentimental movie, the two stars work well together. Shows how two people become friends then dript apart and then come back into each others life. Shows that friendship can endure over time and how it can be supportive.

The Great All Time Tear Jerker A wonderful movie to watch with you best girlfriend or sister. It shows that true friendship knows no boundaries and that loyalty is a very important part of being a friend. True friends are friends to the end.

$10.39 Irrepressible singer, actress, comedian, and all-around star Bette Midler has conquered the worlds of stage, screen, song, and television with her big, brassy voice and larger-than-life personality. Hailing from Honolulu, Hawaii, the diva got her start singing at a gay bathhouse in New York City, where she was accompanied on piano by nascent singer/songwriter Barry Manilow (who also produced her first album). Making her Broadway debut in FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, Midler went on to wow audiences with her dramatic starring turn as a drug-addicted singer in the widely acclaimed feature film THE ROSE, which launched a successful acting career that included roles in DOWN AND OUT IN BEVERLY HILLS, RUTHLESS PEOPLE, and, of course, BEACHES, as well as a television production of GYPSY and her own sitcom BETTE. This documentary presents an intimate portrait of Bette Midler's long and varied showbiz career ...

| | Strange Frequency 2 DVDs (2001) Full Frame
Beaches DVD
$13.99 Made up of four seemingly unrelated, but universally odd stories, STRANGE FREQUENCY 2 may remind some of THE TWILIGHT ZONE for its exploration of the unknown. Connected only by their bizarre events and the theme of rock & roll, the fantasies presented here explore issues like addiction, revenge, betrayal, and greed. In "Don't Stop Believing," Ben Stanton's (Peter Strauss) political career is facing its end after the tragic death of his young lover goes public. Ravaged by this event, Ben is repeatedly transported back to the seconds before the fatal crash each time he hears his campaign song. Does this time travel suggest some hope for retrieving his lover, or will he be forced to relive this painful moment over and over again? In "Instant Karma," a conceited rock star takes advantage of a young fan. Eager to pay him back, Lara (Lindsay Sloane) casts a spell on Vince (Jason Gedrick), and switches bodies with him. Inhabiting his skin, Lara is in the position to seek the ultimate revenge. Patsy Kensit stars a prodding rock journalist in "Cold Turkey," asking a songwriter named Jared (John Hawkes) if he's ever written music while sober. Suffering from a creative dry spell, Jared jumps off the wagon on a path towards self-destruction. The journalist joins him, only to reveal she has come to haunt him by personifying his alcoholism in the shape of a woman. In "Soul Man," Mitch's (James Marsters) trip to the thrift store ...
