||The best one of many.|
This movie followed the book closer than all the others. I have seen all of them, including Orsen Welles. Jane was as she should be "plain and short". Mr. Rochester was dark and craggy. They didn't change the ending as they often do. Thought it was excellent.

This is the best adaptation of Jane Eyre that I have ever seen, and I've seen them all. Timothy Dalton is divine -- the perfect Mr. Rochester, and Zelah Clarke is terrific as Jane. I plan to watch the whole DVD again, and languish in the beauty of it all.

||The Very Best Version of Jane Eyre!|
This is by far the best version of Jane Eyre that I have ever seen! It is highly atmospheric and portrays not only the characters perfectly but accurately depicts the environment as written by Bronte. It is also beautifully acted by Timothy Dalton and Zelah Clarke. I would highly recommend this to anyone wishing to see how a good adaptation of the book looks like!
