The live show recorded for this DVD showcases Morrissey on his birthday at a homecoming in Manchester, England on May 22, 2004. The set list includes You Are The Quarry selections like "Irish Blood, English Heart," "First Of The Gang To Die" and "Let Me Kiss You" plus Morrissey classics like "Every Day Is Like Sunday" and "Hairdresser On Fire." The live performace DVD is directed by Bucky Fukumoto from A/V Club, who also directed Morrisseys three music videos for this album, all of which are included as DVD extras. Tracks include First Of The Gang To Die, Hairdresser On Fire, Irish Blood, English Heart, The Headmaster Ritual, Everyday Is Like Sunday and more. A triumphant homecoming, this show from 2004 saw ex-Smiths star Morrissey returning to his native Manchester to play a sold out concert on his birthday. Having spent the year basking in the glory afforded to his comeback album, YOU ARE THE QUARRY, the inimitable singer undertook a lengthy world tour in support of the record. Naturally a few old classics were thrown into the mix, including a few old Smiths songs such as "There Is a Light That Never Goes Out" and "Shoplifters of the World Unite." Both Morrissey and the audience clearly delight in the occasion, and with Moz sounding better than he has done in a while, WHO PUT THE 'M' IN MANCHESTER? is a great document of his remarkable return to the global stage. Morrissey - Who Put The 'M' In Manchester? review
$15.59 It almost seems like a needless effort to write about The Smiths--one either loves them passionately or despises them. This polarization of opinion could be due to the effect that the dandy-esque front man Morrissey has on a person. Choosing to sing in a remarkably dramatic manner, writing ironically ...

Morrissey - Who Put The 'M' In Manchester? DVD
$18.35 To boot, the album is produced by Tony Visconti, the masterful hand behind some of T. Rex and David Bowie's best efforts. Visconti's touch is evident on "I Will See You in Far Off Places," a heavy, rocking opener that moves with a sense of menace. This is contrasted by the beautiful "Dear God Please Help Me," a chamber-pop ballad orchestrated by legendary film composer Ennio Morricone. That song and the album's first single, "You Have Killed Me," are surprisingly joyful and life-affirming, at least for Morrissey, that is. (Fans needn't worry, however, ...
