 Too much to grasp the first time around
This cd will demand multiple listenings -- there is too much going on and the arrangements are so lush that you will pick up something new everytime you hear it. Vai's guitar approaches human-like voicings and his playing is amazing.

 The Ever Innovative Vai
This is another ground breaking album by, in my opinion, the most creative guitarist. His musicianship paints the album with eclectic color and I must say that his singing voice has improved quite a lot since 'The Ultra Zone.'There are a few songs (e.g. trk 9 "Midway Creatures")that bring back some of the good'ol 'Passion and Warfare.' An entertaining and inspiring album.

 The Steve Vai Experience
My Faourite Songs are -Buliding the Church -K'm-Pee-Du-Wee -Freak Show Excess -Lotus Feet -Midway Creatures His songs are very unique and his talent for guitar is obvious.Each song has its own mix of styles that u cant simply put him in a genre. A definite must have for guitar fans!!

 You cannot re-invent music
It disappoints me to read comments that decry Steve Vai for not being original enough. The point has clearly missed their ears by a wide margin. Steve Vai is a very, very rare individual who is in touch completely with that undefinable ethereal world known as music. His soul cannot hide behind his technique and so we hear the real deal: that which is Steve Vai. This album is of a very high standard and the track Lotus Feet is worth the money alone. I understand that he is a keen beekeeper which may explain the ending to this track. He is a one-off who I believe has now become the maestro. This album is a joy - go buy it!

 Kape Sees
This album is intense its a perfect story. Steve Vai is amazing the way he can think in this way. WHEN ARE THE REST OF REAL ILLUSIONS COMING OUT
