Rod Blue, a down-on-his-luck rock promoter, struggles to find the one act that will turn his life and business around. Just as a relationship starts to bloom with his assistant, Audrey, Rod secures the coup of his career: bringing the legendary Frank Sinatra to perform. All the Way is a film about what went down when Ol' Blue Eyes came to town. Dennis Hopper, Melanie Griffith, Portia de Rossi, and Joel Edgerton star. Based on a true story, ALL THE WAY sees Dennis Hopper stepping into the hallowed shoes of Ol' Blue Eyes as he portrays Frank Sinatra in this thrilling drama. The story begins when concert promoter Rod Blue (Joel Edgerton) travels to Los Angeles to try and convince Sinatra's entourage that he is the man to stage a spectacular show for the legendary singer in Australia. But when the show gets the go ahead and Rod's career looks to be on the fast track to success, disaster strikes when his gossip coumnist girlfriend, Hilary Hunter (Portia de Rossi) asks Frank a few too many personal questions. But after lashing out at the media, Frank finds himself held captive in his hotel room as the powerful unions congregate outside. A fascinating dramatization of events, the stellar cast pull off some impressive performances, making this a welcome addition to the canon of rock biopics. All The Way Reviews: "[Y]ou're moved and thrilled....[Hopper] nails Frank's essence....This is light, likeable stuff."
-- Chris Roberts, Uncut "The concert scenes are staged surprisingly effectively....In its own nostalgic and whimsical way, this is entertaining fare..."

All The Way film
$7.05 The hilarious DONOVAN'S REEF, one of John Ford's rare but memorable forays into comedy, is set on the South Sea island of Haleakoloha, where two navy buddies have decided to stay after World War II. Michael "Guns" Donovan (John Wayne) and Aloysius "Boats" Gilhooley (Lee Marvin), who like to celebrate their mutual birthday every year by trying to beat the hell out of each other, are enacting the ritual in Guns's bar, Donovan's Reef. Dr. William Dedham (Jack Warden), scion of a wealthy family and another societal dropout, breaks up the fight after an appropriate amount of damage has been done. He soon learns that his very proper daughter, Amelia (Elizabeth Allen), is about to arrive from Boston, unaware that he's had three children by a Polynesian princess. Dedham persuades Guns to pretend to be the father of his kids during the visit in order to be spared Amelia's wrath. While Dedham's daughter is initially put off by the juvenile antics of Donovan's crew, the tavern owner's feelings toward her are far more positive. After she beats him in a swimming competition, she begins to see his appeal. Filmed in Kauai, Hawaii, this entertaining family-oriented comedy is stoked with broad physical gags and the inspired tomfoolery of the cast. The most notable performance belongs to Wayne, who ends his long, hugely successful, and artistically ...
