| mary lee's last bow
the Cowboy and the Senorita, 1944 marks not only the pairing of Roy and Dale for the first time, but sadly the end of Mary Lee's career. Please do not think me stupid when I tell you that she was the third "girl singer" after Garland & Durbin. Her early work with Autry remains brilliant(South of the Border 1939, Melody Ranch 1940)will never receive it's due. She will forever be missed!
