It's Trad Dad! compiles 20 songs that document the strange British trad jazz scene of the late '50s and early '60s. For some strange reason, the sounds of jazz as played by the originators from New Orleans were a huge deal and scads of trad jazz groups flooded Britain. Terry Myrick started singing as a child in his church choir in Tampa Florida. It would take some time for him to perfect his vocal style, which currently includes a range from baritone to soprano, but his early background blessed him to perform on the same stage as some remarkable gospel artists, including Walter Hawkins, Tramaine Hawkins, Edwin Hawkins, Shirley Ceasar, Desiree Coleman Jackson, Commissioned, and many more.Terry got his big break in show business when he appeared in the Off-Broadway smash hit musical, "Mama I Want To Sing," According to Time Magazine, "Terry performed prodigies of soul stirring," and Ebony Magazine was another publication to feature him and the rest of the show's cast. Terry went on to a starring role in "A Vision" and then to a role in "Captain", both of which were Off-Broadway musicals.
