This is a DualDisc, which contains a CD on one side of the disc and a DVD on the other.
Todd Rundgren has worn many hats throughout his long career: Singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer. He's been an (alternately) impish and tender popster and a mad genius with a flair for bracing, electronically driven progressive rock. It's the latter that Todd engages in (mostly) with his long-standing band Utopia. Taken from Mr. Rundgren's personal collection of live recordings, this concert--recorded in 1979 at KSAN radio in San Francisco--finds the band going from moods wistful ("Can We Still Be Friends") to assertive ("Just One Victory") to churlish ("Gangrene").
Todd Rundgren and Utopia shine in this classic radio show from San Francisco in 1979 now available in the Dualdisc format. Originally aired to plug the Adventures in Utopia album, it features of mix of classic AOR and Rundgren standards. The DVD side of the disc includes the complete album in 5.1 surround sound, performance notes, artist photos, portable music files, and weblinks.
Recorded live at KSAN 95 FM, San Francisco, California in 1979. Includes liner notes by Paul Lester.

| | SR-71 Now You See Inside CD (2000)
Bootleg Series, Vol. 2: Ksan 95FM, Live '79 music CDs
$7.69 Combine the edgy pop riffs of Lit with an emphasis on vocal harmony reminiscent of the Outfield, and you have SR71. While it may be little more than a boy-band with a heavy guitar backdrop, SR71 nevertheless delivers a smart and fun set of upbeat rockers on NOW YOU SEE INSIDE.
Light social commentary peppers NOW YOU SEE INSIDE in tunes like "Politically Correct" and "The Last Man on the Moon." The main thrust of NOW YOU SEE INSIDE, however, is the adolescent alienation and wonder that all youths experience. Lyrically the album is quite sound. Frontman Mitch Allan's take on teenage romance provides SR71's music with a maturity that is often lacking in popular love songs. While SR71 ...
| | Dr Hook Bankrupt CDs (1975) (Import) England; Australia
Bootleg Series, Vol. 2: Ksan 95FM, Live '79 songs
$10.49 Country pop act Dr. Hook delivers 12 tracks with this 1975 release.
Not long after CBS dumped Dr. Hook & the Medicine Show, Capitol took them under their wing just as the band was filing for bankruptcy (hence, the album title ), and after all the smoke cleared, they managed to put Sam Cooke's "Only Sixteen" into the Top Ten in February of 1976. Although lead singer Ray Sawyer scaled the group's name down to simply Dr. Hook, the same couldn't be said for their ridiculous and empty-headed brand of AM flavored rock & roll. Efforts such as "Wups," "I Got Stoned and I Missed It," and "Cooky and Lila" were beginning to sound stale ...
| | Josh Groban CD (2001)
Bootleg Series, Vol. 2: Ksan 95FM, Live '79 album
$11.19 Josh Groban's meteoric rise to stardom began when hit producer David Foster selected him as a last-minute replacement at the dress rehearsal for the 1999 Grammy Awards, where the then-17-year-old singer stood in for Andrea Bocelli in a duet with Celine Dion. The rest, as they say, is history. But can the precocious baritone truly compete with the more seasoned powerhouses of the Classical Crossover scene?
Groban's self-titled debut album validates Foster's prescience and proves that the young vocalist is more than able to hold his own. He moves confidently through an eclectic program with a poise that belies his youth and relative inexperience. He uses his warm voice to great effect in a variety of settings provided by veteran songwriters such as Richard Marx, Albert Hammond, Carole Bayer Sager, and Linda Thompson, among others. Highlights include a poignant reading of Don McLean's "Vincent," a dramatic account of the Neapolitan song "Canto Alla Vita" (featuring the Corrs), and a rock-anthem version of Bach's "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring" (with Lili Haydn on violin), as well as "The Prayer," a soaring duet with fellow wunderkind Charlotte Church. With this debut, Groban delivers a crowd-pleasing effort that marks the beginning of what will undoubtedly be a stellar career.
In the wake of Andrea Bocelli's successful opera-pop crossover, young Josh Groban came along and added a ...
