| | Slaughter Then And Now CD Slaughter Discography of CDs
(1 Customer Review)
This is a DualDisc, which contains a CD on one side of the disc and a DVD on the other.
One of the most popular "hair metal" bands of the late 1980s, Slaughter was formed by singer Mark Slaughter, formerly of Vinnie Vincent Invasion, in 1988, along with bassist Dana Strum, guitarist Tim Kelly, and drummer Blas Elias. Known for singer Slaughter's trademark falsetto, the band quickly crossed over to the pop charts, and continued to produce recordings until Tim Kelly passed away in 1998. Regrouping, the band continued with guitarist Jeff Blando and released BACK TO REALITY in 1999. This program features some of Slaughter's best work from throughout the group's career. Songs include "It'll Be Alright," "Can We Find a Way," and live takes of "Up All Night" and "Fly To The Angels."
This Dualdisc highlights the songs that contributed to Slaughter's success story and reflects why their music still has widespread appeal today. The DVD side of the disc includes the complete album in stunning 5.1 surround sound, a band biography, artists photos, portable music files and weblinks

$10.49 The German King of good-time music packed up the orchestra and headed across the English channel to film this special program at London's famed Royal Albert Hall in 1978. James Last and his orchestra deliver the goods with a sprightly mix of popular favorite songs from years past as well as from the modern era. Thus, you have an appealing mix that includes the "Theme to Star Wars," "Mull of Kintyre," and "Radar Love," mixing with "Rum & Coca Cola," "I've Got You Under My Skin," and "Yes Sir, I Can Boogie."

Then And Now album
$14.39 The early 2000s have seen a string of big-budget remakes of classic horror films. In addition to THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE and THE HILLS HAVE EYES, John Carpenter's benchmark slasher flick HALLOWEEN has been given a new-millennial overhaul. At the helm of the project sits rocker Rob Zombie, whose previous films, HOUSE OF 1,000 CORPSES and THE DEVIL'S REJECTS, brought a fan's touch and an auteur's vision to the director's chair. While Zombie's HALLOWEEN is faithful to Carpenter's vision, there are some obvious changes, the most pronounced of these being the substantial focus on Michael Myers's childhood. The film posits Michael (played by a creepily vacant Daeg Faerch) as a troubled child made all the worse by a horrible home life--wonderfully illustrated via William Forsythe's performance as Deborah Myers's boyfriend--and constant abuse at school. Zombie paints Michael's pain with palpable grit and sleaze, but he isn't out to put our culture on the couch--he simply wants to show Michael ...

| | Hawkins Best Of The Best CD (2004)
Then And Now songs
$6.15 West Virginian Harold Franklin Hawkins signed a contract with Cincinnati, Ohio's King Records in 1948, and his first two singles for the label, the chugging two-step "Pan American" and the delightfully ramshackle "Dog House Boogie," both released under the name Hawkshaw Hawkins, went top ten on the country charts. Hawkins remained with King until 1953, when he departed for stays at RCA and Columbia before returning to King in the early 1960s. His 1962 recording of "Lonesome 7-7203" hit number one on the country charts a year later, but Hawkins didn't live to see it. He perished in the same plane crash that took the lives of fellow country stars Patsy Cline and ...
