Though it only took a few years for ZOEGirl to become one of the biggest Christian teen-pop acts in the world, the group's albums reflect a maturity that many bands take much longer to achieve. ROOM TO BREATHE is as danceable and energetic as anything burning up the secular charts, but ZOEGirl's songs aren't afraid to address serious themes. "Scream" is a moody mid-tempo tune concerning a lost soul's desperate bid for attention, set to beats and synths reminiscent of Portishead. "Let It Out," a rocker equal parts the Go-Go's and Avril Lavigne, is a call not only to have fun, but to offer one's heart to the Lord, while "Skin Deep" is a funky bass workout that aims to help listeners overcome depression and poor self-image. A record that's catchy and full of ambitiously modern production touches, ROOM TO BREATHE will appeal to both church-going teens and faith-minded alternative-rock fans with a taste for lush female vocals and great pop songs.

 WOW!
ZoeGirl totally appeals to me because I like the pop-rock mix - as long as it's Christian. I get so tired of the worldly stuff my friends call "awesome." You've got to have something decent and up-beat to listen to, and that's exactly what Room To Breathe is - Christian without getting sappy. Keep it up, girls!
