Day croons Que Sera, Sera, amongst others. Additional credits: Jerome Howard (song composer).

As they attempt to forge their way through the dense jungle, more and more of the party ...

$6.95 When four of the world's funniest black stand-up comics came together to celebrate their crownings as the "Kings of Comedy," acclaimed filmmaker Spike Lee decided to film two of their most memorable shows. The result is THE ORIGINAL KINGS OF COMEDY, a raucous concert film that takes its cue from classic performers such as Richard Pryor and Eddie Murphy. The host of the evening, Steve Harvey, spends most of his time criticizing modern music--namely hip-hop--for forgetting to include love in its songs, missing the days when black music was passionate and romantic. D.L. Hughley focuses on universal topics such as work, as well as taking his time to criticize certain unfortunate audience members. Cedric "The Entertainer" makes a series of clever points about the differences between white and black people in addition to using his large frame to dance and run around the stage to hilarious effect. Capping ...
| | Chutney Popcorn DVD (2000)
Glass Bottom Boat film
$18.85 To call CHUTNEY POPCORN a chick flick would be ironic, as the film treats a wide variety of topics with an openness that is careful not to exclude any group--specifically men. However, the film is, in essence, about women loving women--as sisters, as mother and daughter, as friends, as lovers--so to call it anything other than a chick flick would be a lie. Nisha Ganatra, the film's director and writer, stars as the excellent, introspective, accepting lead Reena. She peacefully glides past flowing grain fields on her motorcycle, paints henna designs on her beautiful blond girlfriend, Lisa (Jill Hennessy, whose lovely muscular arms will win over any viewer, regardless of sexual preference), snaps photos of other henna-painted "dykes," and participates in traditional ceremonies with her Indian-American family. However, when Reena offers to be a surrogate mother for her sister, Sarita (Sakina Jaffrey), ...
