| | Eric Levi Very Best Of Era CD - Import Eric Levi Discography of CDs
(2 Customer Reviews)
This 16 track collection from 2004 features the finest from the former frontman of the late-70s rockers Shakin' Street. Much of his solo work is a mixture of gregorian chants, dance beats, and religion, kind of like Enigma. Features a bonus DVD.
Evocative soundscapes in the tradition of artists like Enigma & Deep Forest would best describe ERA in their first ever best of CD. Universal. 2005.

Very Best Of Era songs
$7.96 Within a couple years, Canadian teenager Justin Bieber went from covering Usher on YouTube to working with Usher. An internet sensation from his renditions of several pop and pop-oriented R&B hits, he was still only 15 years old when he released this, his first album -- though it's more like an EP ...
| | Rod Stewart Never A Dull Moment CD (1972) Gold
Very Best Of Era album
$19.10 NEVER A DULL MOMENT picks up where EVERY PICTURE TELLS A STORY left off. Here we have more raucous rock & roll with healthy dollops of soul and twang thrown in for good measure. Always looking for a good songwriter to cover, Stewart's honorees here include Jimi Hendrix ("Angel"), Dylan ("Mama You Been On My Mind"), and Rod's personal hero, Sam Cooke ("Twistin' The Night Away"). Sidling up nicely next to ...

| | Twink Supercute! CD (2004)
Very Best Of Era album
$15.75 Pushing the envelope on trying new things, Supercute! is an exploration of dance music making use of a set of toy pianos as the featured instrument of choice. All works center around the clink of the mini pianos, with the addition of anything from a section of ska horns in "Dandelion Wine" to breakbeats and scratching on antique record players in "Light Through a Keyhole" to a cello in a somewhat dreadful cover of "Enter Sandman" à la Apocalyptica. Some of the pieces hit squarely, some miss the mark for sheer listening enjoyment. The pianos, when mixed properly, can lend themselves to a nice electronica sound with a trance bent. When tossed into some other situations, though, the clinking can become too repetitive and out of sync for its own good. Grating at times? Yes. Constantly intriguing though? Certainly. Worth a listen or two? For anyone with a touch of adventure, the answer will be yes. ~ Adam Greenberg
Mike Langlie's toy piano band Twink is back with nearly ...
| | Got Troubles CD (2006)
Very Best Of Era CD music
$17.79 This 2006 collection of rockabilly, early rock & roll, and other related teenage noises of the 1950s from the German Buffalo Bop label certainly lives up to the high standards they've set in the past. While the cover art for Got Troubles suggests this is going to be a celebration of the joys and terrors of juvenile delinquency, thematically it's more of a mixed bag, ranging from the woeful (and banjo-infused) shuffle of Bill Watkins' "I Got Troubles" to the party-time abandon depicted on Rand Parker's "Big Mary's House." While there are a few other cuts that follow in Watkins' downbeat path, most of this is good-time rock & roll from acts whose talent clearly outstripped their fame; high points include "Red Blooded American Boy" from Don Woody, Chuck Goddard's cool and frantic "Living Myself to Death," the agreeably spooky "Twi-Light-Zone" by Johnny Wilson, Tony Cosmo's cogent analysis of hairstyles ...
