5 stars And...
I might add, Beck & the Yardbirds used a few blues songs & added their own lyrics just like Led Zepplin did, but got sued by Willie Dixon for doing so. Zepplin used old blues lyrics & changed the music around, such as When the Levee Breaks(Memphis Minnie) & Gallows Pole, which are old traditional songs. I bet Keith Relf dug the fact that Bowie borrowed his riff for Jean Genie.

4 stars A great find!
Although it is a tad bit short in length, it does display the Yardbirds in fine form. It's funny, one song on here(I've only heard it once), David Bowie borrowed the music for Jean Genie. Know one even cared or noticed until now. Well worth having if you want everything Yardbirds.

4 stars A Defining Moment
Though it's very short by today's standards (clocking in at around a half hour) this early, previously unknown live set from the amazing Yardbirds featuring the young Eric Clapton might well be my favorite live Yardbirds set. For my money it surpasses even "Five Live Yardbirds". Don't miss the stunning version of the Elmore James classic "The Sky Is Crying" which closes the set. What a find!

Although generally not as highly regarded by the critics as the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, or the Who, the Kinks may well have influenced far more musicians. The three-chord sledgehammer proto-metal burst of teenage lust called "You Really Got Me," the Kinks' third single and first hit, touched off a garage band explosion, which in turn influenced the rise of punk a decade later.
