5 stars Catchy Tunes, Memorable Lyrics
I knew nothing about Kate MacLeod prior to purchasing this CD but I sure am glad I bought "Breakfast"! Ms. MacLeod's voice is very pleasant, and these songs stay in my head long after I've shut off the CD player. My favorites are the first three tracks and the fifth one. I also like "Handsome Molly", a bouncy Celtic/bluegrass number. "Prodigal Son" is very nice too. Actually, in my opinion there isn't a weak track on this disc. If you like female vocalists with something more to say than "ooh, baby, I love you", get yourself some "Breakfast"!

After all, the thing Bob Dylan loves most of all are songs that are handed down from generation to generation, songs that are part of the American fabric, songs so common they never seem to have been written.
